Really pleased to see this news today, even tho i am a Man utd fan, i couldnt imagine the premiership without Henry, it is such a pleasure to watch his skills on show every week. Just shows what kind of guy he is also, sticking to a club he loves even tho at the moment there seems more chance of winning silverware at barca

I'm Spurs, but I do admit Thierry Henry is a superb footballer.

I wouldn't say it would be a "loss" to English football. It would be a loss to Arsenal if he left them. I'd say it would be a loss to the English game, but not a loss to English football, given that Thierry is a froggy.

I hate Arsenal but it would have been a big loss to the English game for him to have gone to Spain.

Great news for all Prem fans. Not just because he's so good to watch but also because it makes such a refreshing change for a player to stay loyal. Top class :drink:

Gerard said No No No to Chelsea as well...

But pretty much as everyone else has said, if he is staying its great news for the premiership - awesome player and a pleasure to watch on the ole Match of teh Day. Sad day that Bergkamp is hanging up his boots tho - although he hasnt been as prominent the last few years he was different class like lil Zola as well - great to keep a special player in the Prem. Though lets be honest, he is no Peter Crouch !!

Not Bergkamp

One of the true legends of the English game, some of the shit he pulled off to score was unbeliable.

Not bad for 37 either ;)

Technically, Gerrard didnt say no.......... Although I cannot divulge the reasons behind him staying at Liverpool, suffice to say, twas nothing to do with "his love for the club".........

dont forget Gerrard said no to Real Madrid a few months ago i think ;)

The only reason you would go to Real was for the money and the sun :) With Carlos on his way and Zidane going its not looking good for them.

he really woulda been severily hated by all Gunner fans if he had moved to Barca now though. But :worthy: thank god the legend that is Henry decided to stay with us, gonna have such a strong upcoming team next season.

Dont think he would of been hated, Its been well documented that gunners fans would of respected his decision either way.

Reading between the lines of what Henry has said today, I feel that if spurs had got 4th spot he wouldnt of signed. More fuel to the conspiracy theory that the spurs team were poisoned on purpose?

The way he snapped at the question i think he would have left if arsenal won the champions leauge nothing left to prove there. But who cares he is staying :)

And no he would not have been hated if he had left we would have had 9 months notice even viera got a ok reaction from the arsenal fans and he really did slap and run

I think Arsenal will be great next year :)
They do have a lot of talented forwards though, who most probably would be able to become very big if they got the chance. Of course not as big as Henry is now, but maybe in time :)
