just having a look about and noticed websites only say "minor" fps issues on the xbox version. what exactly is classed as minor these days? its ok to give the user a headache? and perfectly fine to see the worst graphics tearing ever?!
ok so maybe my xbox is fucked and what i am getting isnt the same minor issues these websites speak of. if this is the case, how do i 'speed' it back to the speed these people seem to have their xbox' at?

My NTSC version seems ok, but figured id play it on my pc instead. The Xbox version is certainly very playable from what i tried.

ok then so if it seems that this tearing shouldnt be there, what can i do to my xbox to solve it? is there anything at all can be done like cleaning out the fans or something because its overheating?

Just tried the PC version, it's lame. Runs pretty lame, looks pretty lame. Strange thing is that Deus Ex 2 ran perfect and looked nice.

Weird. I found the demo, at least, to run better than DE:IW, and look better too. Never got round to buying it, though.

Where exactly are you up to? It took me a few (3-4) levels in till it really started sinking its claws into me. And also, ramp up the detail slider/shadow slider (the detail slider i missed the first few times of fiddling), the reason i mention this is because Deus Ex IW however different it looks is much less pretty IMO.

As Gryff said, far too many games without enough ambience to suck you in are released atm, this one has it spot on bar a few niggling things but as a whole i think it works pretty damned well.

Its shit scary later on too.

I just played the Asylum level last night...that was the best level of a game I have played in years. I've never been so scared of a level with no enemies in it.

Buy this game.
