If u took a second to look, u would know that Hamro IS a member of the Hib GG (EV), and i was meerly using Coldbeard as another example of a 'regular thid player' who also has high RR chars. This was in response to your claim that...

Aeva, you did make a statement about Hamro and Coldbeard. They are/were both members of Thidranki guilds and they both have characters with spellcraft. You labeled persons who fit this description as sad. If you want more elaborate examples, here you go:

• Frozensolid - 6L6 [Froz* in Thidranki], not member of a Thidranki guild as far as I know, but he does have spellcraft and a bot. He also visits Thidranki regulary.
• Hamro - 7L2 [Hamrox and Crushin in Thid], member of Energy Vortex on Hib-Pryd. The Hib-guild you called people who can't cut it at level 50, so they go to Thidranki to feel leet.
• Coldbeard - 7L0 [Vanyah and Beylah in Thid], member of Thidranki Guard back in the days. He still has his shadowblade in that guild and his savage in another Thidranki guild, even though both are almost dead.
• Arumos - 8L0 [Raeva, Fenu, many more in Thid], member of Thunder and founder of Thidranki Guard. 400k rp's last week, now that's a great example of someone who can't cut it at 50. Only second best in last week realm points.

On another note: why do you stubbornly refuse to answer my questions? Why don't you give any argument supporting your statement? Or did you just realise you don't have any and is that why you're leaving now? To use your own words: "Hahahahaha - you got pwned".

As a sample of some of the types of people that play thid regularly, and obviously have decent "proper" RvR chars, when I used to play Thid Blitz (Rhid Blitz was created way before ToA, and originated on mid/pryd FYI) on hib/excal we often had people asking for group for thid saying I ahve a RR7.2 alt, and I know how to assist and stuff properly. Not to mention everyone in TB has had at least one RR6+ char over their DAoC play. Aeva has said some stupid things in the posts, and as far as I can read from this thread, most people on the opposite side saying how fun BGs is and decent groups are not sad, have at least backed that up with some kind of reason and evidence.

Why do I like fighting others? I don't know. As Garbannoch said, in Thidranki there is little you can do to influence the result, the only things that really matter are spellcraft, spec and class. If skill exists, it only matters a bit. The point isn't why I find it enjoyable however. The point is that I find it enjoyable and therefore will continue playing like this.

I don't consider my enjoyment to be worth more than others' however. You said you don't like to be ganked by people with a spellcraft, well I won't do that. I almost never attack anyone unless he has attacked me first. Once more: I don't play for the kills, I play because I like close fights. Be those fights vs two bluecons or vs a spellcrafted player, I don't care. As long as both sides have a decent chance to win I'm happy.

I have not yet seen you actually trying to argument your cause. One-sentence-semi-flames are all you seem to produce. If all of my arguements are wrong, then please explain to me why they are. They seem perfectly viable to me. However, because of my sheer stupidity I might be mistaken.

My arguments in short:
- Level 50 RvR is too demanding.
- I don't get why Thid-sc sucks and level 50 sc makes you a good player.
- I do not destroy Thidranki for other players - they don't have to fight me.
- I play versus players with equal equipment/lack of skill.

I kitted out and started playing an sm over there in the last month just out of complete boredom. I ended up having a great time... What people don't realise is that its pretty much the rvr dream everybody has been craving in the last couple years but in one small zone: No Toa, instant action, no rp hornyness (so people only fight for the enjoyment of a good fight), but most importantly is that the regular players i've fought with and against in there are some of the soundest people i've ever met in the god knows how many years i've been playing this game. Of course there are plenty people that don't fall into this catagorie, but the people that do make for a great atmosphere.
I only wish all enemies were like Ashton/brokeninf, I'd never win a fight, but i'd have a good time

The only problem with it is the need to suicide every hour or so if your having any sort of success, really gets on my tits so doubt i'll return until /noxp is implemented.

Ah so Manic is Grammaton.

Well m8y I have always liked you. Why? Well for a lot of the time you were playing unbuffed. When you are buffed you are sodding evil. You nearly came close to dropping one fight though.

Unbuffed I have killed you loads of times - buffed? mm - lately you been very strong. But really tis down to sheer frontload damage. I can't kill a buffed necro if he is twinked. Untwinked I have a chance. Toa shit and fast casting means he overwhelms me. Same with players tis getting. I took you down to less than 5% one fight from standing toe to toe with you. But your damage with them jimbyas is just crazy. Hit me with those as hard as I can hit you with a 2 handed.

Roll on this unbuffed no toa server is all I ask for. You all gonna be in the shit then big time. The game is overtaking me though - peeps are getting stronger and faster all the time whereas I am standing still and have been for ages. No buffs or toa.

Wot is it about this Realm Ability stuff too? I mean don't you lot think you taking things too far? Hell I had so much stick from just using buffs but now you lot have gone crazy. Not your fault though or anyone's bar Mythics. But you just making the game a simple who has the best gear/buffs and equipment contest. Skill is and has gone out the window.

You don't show any skill m8 - just sheer damage like all before you. In my prime I would have made it my goal to drop you when you fully buffed. Now though I can't be bothered.

Always thought you would be real nasty in buffed form Manic and I was right. Even unbuffed you have put up quite a fight. Buffed though you got the spec and equipment right to dish out a lot of trouble for my sb. Even though I ain't playing that well anymore I can see that you are very strong.

Could I take you if I was upto the challenge? Mmm would be a hard task to accomplish. Boils down to a lot of luck I suppose. Luck that I don't miss and bad luck for you that I evade.

Dinged 25 with Grammaton on accident on a Shroomer, he gave like more than 0.81% bubble, so I'll be out of Thid for a while. Some unbuffed SB dropped me later on, so I did bow two times while dieing and released, didn't rezz.

Yes MKJ, one of the fights was very close. I noticed you didn't walk through at all, did you change on this? Not sure why one fight I survive with 60%, the other with 5%.

The damage I do is rather low, I have a low weapon skill and rely on the str/con debuff. I think I'm going to try to do a Thrust Infiltrator next.

Meh, I don't like being 'hyped' like this to be honest, people will only be dissapointed . I can stand my ground fairly well in most duels, but I'm not some kind of 'King of Thid'. I get beaten quite a lot as well and against some classes I'll almost certainly lose when they're sc'ed.

Actually I'm more looking forward to meeting friendly Prydwenites than the new duelling partners. Not that I mind duelling people I haven't duelled before, nor am I bored of hugging Excalibur people. But hey, the more the merrier. :wub: to all!

Aeva, I tought you weren't going to have a look at this thread again? Oh well, feel free to kill me in Thidranki if it makes you feel better. If you don't roll a mercenary or theurgist the duels might even be enjoyable .

Why did you kill that thane when you noticed he didn't stand a chance by the way? Does it make you feel l33t when you can 3shot a thane in /level armour? I know I wouldn't have killed him and let him off with 20% hp, but that's just me, I don't have the right to impose my play-style on others.

Anyway, I can still enjoy a duel even when I lose, as long as both sides have a fair chance to win. Sadly enough I don't often stand a chance against a spellcrafted mercenary though: Dirty Tricks and 6s anytime stun kill everything in Thidranki and dualwield > my shield. A good mercenary shouldn't lose a 1on1 against any tank, although vendo'ed zerkers may be an exception to this rule .

Erm... the reason I attacked the thane was because he was a mid.. an enemy player, just because he has /level 20 stuff doesn't give him a certain right in which I cannot attack him? I would aproach a fight in the same way if I was fighting a newb that was lvl 20, or a rr2 leet player *cough* brokeninfil *cough* and he would have most likely attacked me.. Infact, he got the first hit, so stop with all this honour crap please!!

Fair enough with the rogs, I wrongly assumed you were sc'ed. Appologies for that . Fact still is that you 3-shotted the poor guy, so it wasn't really a fair fight. I was merely pointing out that you, apparently, don't care so much about killing people with worse equipment than you, but you think that people with better equipment than you are sad losers. Where do you draw the line and why?

I've also said that I don't attack people who don't stand a chance, so I'm not ruining the game for them. You on the other hand don't have a problem with killing people in gimped equipment. Has it ever occured to you that the poor thane you 3-shotted might've felt you were destroying the game? He might've been out for some duels where he stood a chance and then you come and 3-shot him, he must've felt great.

Why should I cut the honour 'crap'? I think that respect towards your fellow players is very important, whether they're from the same realm or another. I don't say you should play this game with honour as well, it's fine with me if you enjoy killing enemies who don't stand a chance. My only questions is why others aren't allowed to do the same thing. Why shouldn't others with better equipment kill you?

One last note: insults are just a poor man's argument. You can disagree with someone, but that is no reason to start insulting them, this will only lead to flame-wars and the point of the post will be lost. Insults don't work on me, so try again with a decent and structured post explain your vision on Thidranki RvR. We might even agree on some points . If you don't know where to start, I've included a few questions in this and my previous posts which might serve as a guideline .
