All PHP output is compressed at the server and decompressed at your client if it supports it

How about turning this function off at a specified time and having some ppl with the 'slow' connex [like me] test to see if it's still slow? I have no idea if it will help at all, but the idea stems from some browsers waiting with their displays 'till all requested html is [un]compressed. Do you think it could help?
