Its a good spec, but its based on presence of buffbot.

The point of it was (and this in my very limited and inexperienced opinion) that as an archer, you don't need to go high in Bow, therefor giving you points to spend in various other places. Doesn't sound too gimped imo.. ofc, I personally haven't tried either spec :)

you want your weaponskill in bow high so you get less blocked/evaded/parried(no idea if this is actual possible :p). But i aint sure about the variation in the damage you do. If you spec higher, you will get a higher minimum. Which might be alot actually. But I am a hunter and got only 4 lines, which makes it alot easier for this discussion as I can bring spear up to 44, bow up to 39 (50 with items and even higher with my RR) and 34 for stealth and bc, which is both nice :).

I wouldnt suggest people to spec bow to low but with 27 with +11 from items and atleast +2 from RR (RR3 is reasonable easy to get), you got 40 bow. So that might be enough :).

And of course if things should go bad a ranger has access to IP ;)

Oh and btw, 27 bow is NOT an option if you want to snipe :), the variance is far too high, the cap is not that crap, but the variance is just horrid! Thats an anti-assassin spec he has there. Every single time theres an mg standoff im quite sure he loses a hair or 50 cuz he cant hit for consistent and high damage :p
