Do you love theme parks? Do you hate them, if so why?

What ones have you been to? Favourite rides? Rides you absolutely hate? Favourite "shows" in theme parks?

I've been to a few different ones.

First of all i'll start with my favourite rides:

Hulk Coaster in universal studios (love the launched start)
Mission: Space in Epcot
Test Track in Epcot
Colossus in Thorpe Park
Jaws in universal studios
Tower of Terror in MGM studios (even though they have downgraded it)
Dinosaur in animal kingdom
Kraken in Sea World
The Mummy in Universal Studios
Jurassic Park: river ride in Islands of Adventure

Rides that I hate:
Its a small world in magic kingdom

My favourite show is probably Klyde and Seamoore in Seaworld.

My favourite theme park is probably Islands of adventure and universal studios.

The theme park I dislike the most is Adventure Island at Southend-on-sea! Only because its full of chavs haha! (they try to spit at you off the rides)

Will probably add more when I think of more!

Only reason I'm making this is because I don't think this has been discussed before, so thought it would make a change.

hehe, all you have to think is that you will be down it in like 2 seconds. Think i've done the big dipper, is that the one with the bloke that sits in the middle with the brake?

went to port aventura in spain when i was younger, i swear that i nearly died on a rollercoaster. the "harness" was just a metal bar going across your lap, and when it went round a bend, I nearly slipped out of the hard shiny plastic seat. never been on one since, dosent really float my boat tbh.

Red Dragon is cool :)

Erm I'd prob go with the waterparks in Disneyland.

Can't beat Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.

[mumbles about having a husband that doesn't like going on rollercoasters...]
[...recalls completely wasted day at Alton towers where all we did was go on the runaway minetrain 27 times]

Kraken (Sea world) is very fucking good.

Spider man (Universal Studios) while its not a coaster is a fucking amazing ride 3D glasses and it feels so real.

Men in Black (Universal Studios) lots of fun and something with a bit of competition.

Hulk Ride (Universal Studios) Great coaster the launch is very good.

I. Hate. Every. Single. Ride. With. Passion

Never liked 'em, don't really know why, but if i was "forced" on one, i wouldn't enjoy it one bit.

Not for all i guess.

Only things i did enjoy are those g-force spinners, don't know if they still exist though.

But that's just 'cause g-forces are cool :D

used to love the gforce room things when i was younger, you know the ones where you stand up against the wall, then it spins. The floor then drops and you stick to the wall

love em, not good when stoned tho i remember

I'm actually like Toht a bit on this, apart from I don't like it.. Been to the one in Blackpool in the UK (Biggest one) and I liked it.

Anything which has serious G-Force behind it makes me smile though :D

Used to love them when I was younger.

I always found the "pussy" rides were more fun, since they tended to concentrate on actually being a good ride, not just how far can we drop them this time.. oh it's over already affairs.

These days i'd much rather be doing something else than queueing for 3 hours to be made to feel ill however. Eating a dodgy curry is much faster and scarier with much the same effect!

Dualing Dragons also
Kumba/Montu/Sheikra at Busch Garden are great
Spiderman/Mummy rock
Doc Doom's Tower is not bad also
Kraken is sick.. remember going on that about 6-7 times since spring break had just finished and parks were getting lower numbers

Spider Man at Universal Orlando is just the most amazing piece of ride technology available. We will see a lot more of this type of ride, totally mind blowing.

The military secretly sponsor all Theme Parks. When it comes to dropping the bomb, the cull of chavs will be a form of *cough* natural *cough* selection
