699€ body + 95€ for a 50mm F/1.8. I drove to Aken, Germany to get it (1h20 min drive from Brussels) because in Belgium I would pay around 970€ for the body only.

no, really?

bought myself a shit load of guitar stuff with my (so to say) christmas bonus from work (so to say in the sense it was 90% holiday money i saved over the year) so to myself was:

ashdown mag210t deep cab
epiphone sg guitar
peavey mark iii xp bass head
danelectro overdrive and distortion pedals (they are cheap as chips, so i plan to mod them a little)

all goes with my 1x15 custom cabinet and my vintage (late 60s) twin channel carlsbro tc100 valve head to make a pretty fearsome set up for playing both bass and guitar. sweet.

other than that, actual xmas presents were mostly smellies and choccies. also got £200 cash, herzog\kinski boxset, new bath robe (yay! no more cold winter mornings...), new shaver, couple of nice shirts... in retrospect i am a bit of a jammy git.

ordered myself a 360 with gears of war and smackdown this morning also. from gamestation - £314 inc. postage for the lot - considerably cheaper than every other store i checked out so i am chuffed.

Well, Christmas for our family is like one of two times during the year we get spoilt (other being our Birthdays).

I don't get pocket money nor the odd £40 here and there when I want something - so Christmas is something to look forward to because it's a time where I can get a lot.

That said, I just had a girl-friend qq'ing because her parents had bought her a Imac comp. (costing around £1k) and an Ipod Video and she didn't want the Ipod Video Oo

Dont see the point in comparing gifts with each other tbh. Personaly i find it pretty disgusting when people get very expensive gifts or alot of money etc and are smug about it when theres so many out there that dont even get a decent meal at christmas, or have a place to sleep etc, or children whos parents cant afford expensive gifts or "forgot" to buy anything because of their alcohol abuse and so on and so forth.

The Christmas gift spending in Sweden broke a new record (53.000.000.000kr or roughly 587.000.000 euro) this year (like every previous year for the last 20 or so) and was greater than the total spendings (including industrial and financial investments etc) in Ghana for 2006.

Merry Christmas everyone

Oh, do lighten up. I can hardly imagine anyone here not knowing that there is poverty in the world, yet it doesn't have to bitter us all constantly, does it? Telling people what I've gotten for Christmas isn't meant in any way to mock the poor ones, it's just to share your own Christmas experience.

Merry fcking Christmas indeed.

Got a pair of Rip Curl ski pants and Stadium Arcadium album.

Fana, don't think people are comparing eachothers presents but curious of what everyone else got.

But you do indeed have a good point, bloody silly spending that much on presents you could do without with anyways.
