As I said, im not a fan of rap per se. But the whole culture, I took a varied interest in. You just implied Tupac didnt infulence anyone, i proved he did. That is all

best thing is marc tells the truth, heck one of the reasons pac got really noticed was because he had a gunfight two cops and got away with community service.

how true this is! prison obviously does not act as a deterrant in most countries, its stats at rehabilitation are lame to say the least with so many repeat offenders maybe everyone should stop crying and whining about how its unproductive to "punish" and actually give it a go, are there any stats for how many repeat offenders this guy has coming back to him after running his gaol like this?

we've tried the sissy way of giving them holidays and play stations and coffee and porn and to be totally honest if this actually did work and cut crime figures and repeat offenders then hell i'd be all for it i really would but it does not work.

Its far beyond time to admit defeat and try some harsher methods instead of getting softer and softer, it doesnt work in schools so why think its going to work in a prison?

Well first thing i see wrong about a prison like that is that, to me, a prison is a place thats supposed to correct you and make you ready for a normal and functional life on the outside, instead of breaking down your will and treating you like a slave.

Im quite sure that the people from that prison are more likely to commit crimes when they get out again compared to a more 'gentle' prison... And i dont give a shit about the argument that it shouldnt be a vacation in prison, because all that matters to me is how they will be as people when they get out again...

seriously, i have. its quite documented

i understand when i do it i break the law, i understand if im caught then i should accept what ever happens. my brain allows me to realise consequences and being a sane person it follows i should accept consequences, regardless if i feel the punishment is too harsh for what ever i did. before i committed that act i knew what the punishment was.

maybe i am biased because of what i plan to do in my career, but then ive always thought this way aswell.

i dont think any punishments for pot are right, but they are there. everyone knows fine well (or at least, you cant plead to be ignorant to law) what the punishment is so i dont think its right to complain if you goto prison for it.

prison shouldnt be an enjoyable place to be. id love it if i could be fed for free and play xbox games all day without having to do a job.

imo it should be about manual labour, doing shit for the community, things like that.
not sitting around drinking tea and talking shit with your fellow inmates.
