I mean, how can someone take these military pricks seriously?
For some reason I was ranked best solider in my unit, might been cause I am very competetiv and was rather well fysicaly fit at the time (not like now :()

Well, that "waste of time" win finlands independence so i have nothing but respect :p

They should then be taught a skill and learn that fucking skill 12 hours a day then come out and use that skill to gain a job.

Again your looking at things too simplisticly. Fuck more people in America like i was talking about are in jail for DRUG offenses (normally possesion). Read the article i posted. Conditions are imposed to try and get these guys arrested, and lots of people are suggesting making prison harsher for these guys? Fuck that. I dont even think they should be in prison.

And to Eversmall, Tupac isnt even in the top 5 rappers of all time and you know it too :p

I thought finlands independance was due to Finlandization :)
Which was oddly enough my favourite word for years due to the old game Balance of Power (which dates me)

1) Kool G rap
2) Rakim
3) Big Pun
4) Eminem
5) Biggie smalls

Whatever you think about Pac's music, the dude was a fake and his own words will tell you that. He was 'playing the roll' at deathrow which was being a ganster rapper, the dude didnt even have a criminal record until biggie put a hit on him for making a song saying he fucked biggie's wife.

Listen to him on his biography with his gumby doo and black wife beater tshirt saying he cant understand why dudes would call a woman a bitch... saying he was so offended by it. A year later he's signed by death row and he says 'fuck these bitches, bitches arent shit'. You can talk about his music till you're blue in the face... but the dude was a phoney.

TBH pac didn't do anything to advance rap, the guy had one rapping style and mediocre lyrics. He has however been idolised by commercial rap as well as clueless middle class white rap fans who reckon he was god.

His influence in rap goes about as far as being mentioned in a few 50 cent songs.

A fake, he lived that live, he talked about his peers, he managed to capativate you and put you in that place yet not one of those people you mentioned were able to do that. Biggie was a great story-teller no doubt an absolute legend, shame he got caught up in stuff which really he had nothing to do with. Eminem.. ye k, dre's commecial cash cow who was funny now just a pitiful joke. Rakim ofc is great same for big pun and kool g, i listened to em all and yes they are brillant.
However not one of em can compare to Pac, in my opinion, pac had the work ethic, the mind, and no im not a great fan of some the DR era stuff, some very crud stuff, but songs such as Letter to My Unborn(Original), Life Goes On, Keep Ya Head Up, So Many Tearz, Pain and many more, i cant see anyone else doing songs of this standard better then pac.

Eminem had FAR better lyrics and a far better flow than Pac, listen to the Marshall Mathers LP his early stuff is amazing.

And jay walking? He was as gangster as he 'claimed' to be in his rap songs cos he crossed a road? Fuck that.

Moder rappers mention him because he has become a brand name for the clueless hip hop kiddies who worshpi him.

This was in 92' pre-Deathrow you talk with such retardedness maybe you should pick up one of pac's earlier albums (Me against the world, thuglife vol1 etc), also could eminem get the message across like pac did?

Also, marshall mathers LP is the only decent album eminem is done, seriously i loved that albums still play it regulary but his other stuff makes me think what went wrong.. good example is his new album, biggest piece of crap ever, pretty much the same for Jay-z, he left on a banger (black album) came back with the biggest pile of crap ever with lyrics that a 4 year old could do better.

Who cares what hes like now? Whos to say pac who was already commercialising his music at the time of his death wouldn't be the same? The fact remains that (imo) the marshall mathers LP was better then anything 2pac ever did.

I don't talk with 'such retardedness' you are trying to say pac got across a 'message' who can quantify that? Its all opinion. Pac being a fake is however is a fact. You can hear it in his lyrics.

Whilst not really a rap fan per se and not wanting to get involved in the whole whos the better rapper hot potato, I have to say I love Tupacs lyrics and there is no doubt he was a very talented lyricist. Hes the only rap artist whos lyrics have hit me right in the heart. I suppose its like any music genre. Its not "cool" to like the most successful artists.

Why is he fake? Because he raps about stuff that didnt happen to him. Shit, 99% of all recording artists are fake then, even Eminem.

commercialising, shit me, the last album pac realised has next to now commercial songs on it, and was pretty much raw stuff. How was pac a fake, tell me please?

cos all i can see if some sad little kid who thinks listening to eminem means you've discoved rap, heck, hiphop is as good as dead, the golden age is in the past howaday with only a few decent rappers left e.g. nas, immo tech etc, we have to put up with the everyday game, 50 cent, enimem teeny bopper crap.

pac to me had real lyrics, same as biggie, big l(Ebonics :worthy:) , rakim, big pun, nas (Illmatic :worthy:) and many others.

Im not saying eminem is crap, far from it, like i said marshall mathers lp is one of my personal top albums, i just cant justify eminem being anywhere near pac lyrically wise and also captivating the audience, eminem made 1 classic, pac made 3 consecutive ones.

My brother got jailed 3.5 years ago now, he got 5 years for throwing a poor bloke off a balcony. http://www.lep.co.uk/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=73&ArticleID=744291

He's done quite along time now. 5 years was the maximum he can get for that type of crime.

He's been pretty good recently which has been an improvement. He's got fucking SKY Tele in his pad. Radio, Playstation 2 on the wing and all sorts. The only bad thing about jail is the meatheads that are in there, violent and don't care for anybody. Not even thereselves, or else they wouldn't be in there.

Prison is like a holiday camp.

He claimed to be living the 'thug life' and claimed he was some sort of gangster. He was a phoney who was simply doing what death row wanted him to be, playing the image of a gangster rapper.

You can talk about his lyrics and how much you love his songs, all of music is opinion. If you think he's the best rapper of all time then thats fine too, but when you start to talk about what he was like as a person, or the supposedly huge influence he had in rap music, then it gets a little twisted.

how about get your history straight

Thug Life era was mostly from 92' till the 94' shooting, and yes i agree when on deathrow you had to have the gangsta image, why? because it was a gangsta place, you couldnt go in unless you had a gun on you, there was security guards, members of bloods would have meetings there, deathrow was extremely gangsta, and when on deathrow, you had to be 'gangsta'

wait, where did this go from the thug life era to first album..?

and it was last 91'/early 92' when it was realised, the 'thug life' group and era seemed to have ended after pac joined deathrow, that meaning the thug life projects that is, however there was going to be thug life vol 2..

So he didnt infuence any rappers?

Anyway, Dr Dre had the most infuence in rap than any of the tin pot rap artists you name.

Dre owns hip-hop, hes no1 producer, once co-owner of death and member of nwa, peeps will pay millions for him to produce a track for them, because he will churn out hits.

Thug life ended in '92? Pac was in 'Thug Life' the rap group... which was founded in '93...

Like I said... he didn't have a criminal record until he got signed to death row, so as far as him living the thug life... for the first 20 years of his life he was a dude who was offended that people would refer to women by 'the b word'. Look at the way his persona changed after he was signed to death row.

Like I've already said... you can love his songs however much you want, but the guy was an arrogant liar.

i was talking about the first album for that date, sorry for not being up with my off the top of my head info there rather then your copy+paste. He had a criminal records before deathrow, ffs he was in prision when he was signed to deathrow, ofc deathrow changed pac, shit most poss would still be alive if he never joined, but then we would never have classics like all eyes on me and 7 day theory..and finally, he joined deathrow in '95, on a three album contract, he died before that contract was forfilled fully (7 day theory wasnt realised).
