Web browsing on the new phone is 5 times slower than the adverts would have you believe. The fuckers should be sued for false advertising.

I can see how it could be somewhat deceptive, but I can't see Apple advertising its flagship mobile product any other way. If you saw an advert based on real life usage would you buy it ? You'd probably say "look how slow that is - I'm not buying that". Well Apple want you to buy it so they make it as slick looking as possible. They're not making any false claims as such. The functionality is all there. Also doesn't speed depend very much on internet speed & contention ratio ? So if your iphone is running off a corporate internet network the speeds would probably be instant. I had a Blackberry from my work place - internet was instantaneous.

tbh i have no problems with it at all, of course its not as fast as the ad, dont think anyone believes it would be. Using it via wifi is great too

I say we should all sue these companies for false advertising . I for one am confused.com about my car insurance and no elephant was playing hide and seek with me either.
Back on topic the 3g iphone is bout twice as fast as the original iphone, but if you want fast you should see wimax. But phone companies won't use it because they got so rapped over the 3g contracts they're probably gonna stick with tht for awhile.

but they use the phrase "up to x whatever/sec" tho right? thats not guaranteeing that you will get it. just that you CAN if u were lucky
