the trauma of plotting graphs

i have 3 different tables. each table consits of one height and 5 width measurements of blood splatters i created.

what im trying to do is plot the widths from each table onto one graph and get three different trend lines. so far it seems to be impossible, is that a correct assumption? bearing in mind the width at one heigh maybe (unfortunatley) the same as a width at the other two heights.

i can ofc create a graph with the three averages at each heigh, but that seems like a waste of time

Should be possible in Excel as 3 data series in a line graph - doesn't matter if the data points are the same in two of the series.

To make it simple just type the values into a new worksheet with 3 rows one for each height. Tell Excel data are in rows (rather than columns) and it should do the rest.

exactly that cheers, just without the line joining them up. if i add a trendline though its all a bit messy

Excel is such a pain to create graphs and plotting data seems sooo inefficient in excel tbh, youre not really in control of whats happening...

Little offtopic tho, but does any of you know some REAL program thats created for the sole purpose of plotting data, and not this office shizzle? :>
