My brothers just spent 6months in China, they eat beaks, feet etc but look upon the decent chicken meat in disgust, i suspect its exported

I steer well away from a chinese restaurant in Boro because they serve Jellyfish in there and I feel quite strongly that if I ever saw it being served, i'd projectile vomit quite violently in their direction.

They eat shitloads of chicken in China and Southeast Asia, especially China, and in South America and the Caribbean as well. Don't know about Africa as much although Nando's is South African!

Meant India as you pointed out primarily when I mentioned asia, however I would imagine that even if the chinese dont completely avoid chicken, china would possibly use far less chicken than in europe, mainly because of the culture differences.

Africa figures may well not come into the numbers I had access to at work because of the difficulty in collecting it from that part of the world, even if they are included, I would think they would be very low by EU standards because of the difference in climate.

I'm more involved in Quality assurance/Nutrition where I work though, was just looking through some of the figures that are about and found some of the numbers involved quite interesting. I honestly have no idea about how the Chinese view chicken though
