3 Secs is still enough for our nice theurgs to get away a bit from those stuuuuuuuuupid heros (yeah u heard me wuren ;-)...

And it only needs mana...slam EATS end up very fast..

As a very heavy user of slam myself I am always a bit miffed to see casters still casting after I slam, I switch weapons then smack em again and again and again and they still cast, kinda hacks me off.

Roll on 1.54 tanks get wubbin.

ody... the iP won t help the tank when you rock over him with your air nuke in less than 9 seconds. you cannot ip/FA while you are stunned (and not elk/moose or whatever).

and yes, couldn t imagine RB levelup team without lukas the shield lord.

Cant remember last time i got slammed by a shield gimp while hacking casters up, they normally try 2 run through my 3000+ hp with their sword before i 2 shot their casters :/

Something to cosnider though is a swing with fast sword first to remove bt other wise you waste a big chunk of end on a Slam that misses....

Have saved lots of casters lives with a slam but have also got some killed by a slam that missed but broke mezz :(

And yes, I have immense fun blowing tanks to bits after luke used his mighty singletarget insta stun. And ofc they didnt IP, silly me, heheh they couldnt heheheheh. Just makes it even more beautiful.

Why do people think air nukes are so great? Clerics have been whining for ages about high spirit resist, and yet all the theurgs spec to a spirit based nuke and expect it to rock... Did you all miss kate's 25 dmg smite post? :p

Many tanks use slam to protect casters but very few that i have seen use intercept when slam fails :>

I believe Theurgist Air pets are in line for a RvR nerf either this patch or soon, to stop them chain-stunning like they were formely able to do. Better get them respec's ready lads.



And no, Detirmination doesn't work on melee stuns, which is both a good thing, and a bad thing from a tanks perspective I guess, depending on which end of it your on. How long exactly is a 'Long duration stun' anyway, and I mean in general not just for Slam, is it standard 9 seconds for all long duration styles ?

Thats because most tanks only think to use it when the brown smelly stuff hits the fan and forget that you can stick on someone and just leave it there ready for when they get attacked.

Personally I have Intercept right on the 8th key and stick it on the most vulnerable group member before I even leave ATK, you don't have to be near them to put it on. At least this way you only need to keep close or get to your target, not start messing with keys whilst there getting beat up. And its a fail safe, wether slam works or not.

Minstrel stun on any RR4+ tank will last for ~2 seconds. Cleric stun will go in ~3-4 seconds. Melee stun will last full duration (unless purged), i.e. 9 seconds on slam and dragonfang :p

And you also have that recast timer aswell as mana to worry about.

That assumes most tanks have determination 4 or 5, I don't think all that many have above 3 tbh.

And so far my tireless I does not really seem to help so much in regaining end while fighting :p
It does help regain end while standing still... But then again, I guess maybe Tireless IV might help against my 2-handed styles :p

Now assume ure a mid, what is there for you on spirit resist?
Cleric dd? nerfed, 90% respecced away, last 10% sitting in a corner grumbling
Cleric mezz? PBAOE, dangerous, but u have insta and ranged so not really that important
Theurg mezz? ROFL its gimped as hell, see above
Theurg slow? noone use that one really
Cabalist snare? ...
Champion snare? ...
Nah that mid stock up on heat and body and shit instead.

For the hib, the only difference is the SM stuff and skald snare.

Generally spirit isnt resisted as much as many of the other tables.

When I get a chance to nuke (that is, when I dont recklessly charge in and get myself killed), I nuke for 225 - 666 (wicked cap btw) with 0 variance cuz of my 46+13 windskill.
That on a 2.8 sec timer + buffs.

My main job in grp as scout is to slam imo. I atleast slam 2 tanks, even when outnumbered. However if theres a caster around i might shoot him b4 going slamming. And us scouts being EQUAL good in guard and blocking as tanks, adding this up: we are quite good melee.

There is an old history bout hib heros learning the group-work thing... It all starts when the pure S/S ones who cant kill a beetle within 5 mins melee find their extasy saving their casters and stunning those fuggers with their holy shields (which also hit harder than their swords) ... But then the spearos got 42 shield too to piss off their class-mates by doing same + dmg.

its just an old history

air nukes > hib tanks (altho i got a bit worried today when nuking Wuren for some 2K and him still being at 10% - without anyone healing him of what I could see - used IP ofc)
