Australia have scored a massive 346/3 and Ricky Ponting has scored a century!

Its just dire really especially when you read this from the Guardian web site:

Why? Because I think 22 blokes standing around all day (9 of them having a beer) with the occasional flurry of motion is FUCKING DULL. As an excuse to get pissed all day I'm sure its amazing, but otherwise, fucking tedious wank. Even we won the fucking thing it was just another excuse to see bleary-eyed Yorkshiremen. I got enough of that growing up. Explain one single thing about cricket that's actually not tedious.

And yes Golf is also tedious and shares the special place in my heart for wank sports that are like watching paint dry. Although at least I can understand why people might play golf even if I can't understand why people watch it. With cricket even playing it is fucking boring.

personally i find cricket enthralling, i used to hate it with a passion but i got hooked watching the tour of south africa in late '03 but i can't really explain what got me hooked.

never played much golf but i find it dull as fuck. played cricket when i were young and loved it, i was a decent bowler until i got fat and lazy.
