To be fair it is a fit bird thread not a thread for todgers. I don't see how it's being scared of being gay by not looking at nobs, some people don't like watching violence...is that because they are frightened of turning into raging psychos, or is it just because they simply don't like it?

The thing is, there is a clear distinction in the media between the male form and female form. The kind of images shown in FHM (the majority of which are similar to those on this thread) are fully acceptable. Even bare-breasted females are deemed acceptable, by the media and therefore society. Maybe thats a follow through from men being in positions of power in various media forms. Its arguable that the mass media (including tabloids) etc influences the doctrines of society directly, either consciously or unconsciously.

The big difference here is that I would wage that the majority of women don't find pictures of fully naked women offensive. I would say however that pictures of fully naked men are offensive to both parties (perhaps more so to one than the other).

The same applies to homosexual kissing really. Two women kissing, particularly the whole "lipstick lesbian" chic is very much "in". Media will show pictures of two women kissing with minimal risk of censorship. Two men kissing is entirely banned, in all media forms without explicit warnings (or implicit "post watershed" warnings).

It's all about how the media, and by association society views such images at the end of the day.

Exactly.

The Sun prints bare-breasted women daily.
The Sun would have problems showing either a vagina or penis without reprisals (although I'd bet the former wouldn't be frowned on as much).
Pictures of blokes cocks, just as pictures of two blokes kissing imo, would end up with court cases.
