Having my ambition of becomming a full time police officer being for filled in the next 6+ months, im considering my plan B which to me will be the S.A.S (Special Air Service) are their any here at the moment who have served in the British military or the S.A.S itself? Leave message here for tips or send me message via FH.
Garok said:With Marines you can head for the SBS which is the Royal Navy equivilant. Would recomend trying the TA to start with to see if you can deal with the way the Army is run. The SAS have a TA division mainly formed out of old SAS personel so could always get in touch with them via the TA to see what is involved.
Another option is the Royal Engineers, good thing about that is they teach you a trade so when you leave you have some some other qualification to serve you later in life.
Garok said:You have to be a Marine to go into the SBS's .. point was the TA can be a nice introduction before you sign up for full service.
Heta said:Have no one seen the programs they show on like Discovery and such channels about what kinda tests they have to go through to actually become a member of S.A.S? People that want to join really do have something wrong in there head.
And yea, I think right order to get into S.A.S would be army/marine->elite unit then apply or have someone high up recommend you.
