The relic raid plan used for Dun Dagda

Here are the plans we used for raiding Dun Dagda this evening. Read and make comments if you like, we followed it pretty well except that we failed to give the albs the hib pwr relic.

So now the time has come to raid Dagda again, the server has been upgraded and we should not suffer from a zone crash/server crash this time :wink: This plan will be somewhat different from other raids that we've done in the past since it will focus on "confrontation" with the hibs. We will aim to strike fast and hard at Dagda itself while 2-3 keep take forces move around grabbing keeps. We will also aim to take out the hibs before they get any chance to enter Dagda. This means that both SE and the NW entrances must be HEAVILY guarded, especially by SMs. We will have a force that moves out from MTK Emain aswell, ppl that did not or could not tag along the relic raid force to the rendezvous point in Breifine will gather here.

The plan goes:

- We will move the relic raid force via DG to Hibernia (Breifine), where we log at: 63.6k, 55.6k

- To avoid to much lag and LDs while moving through DG we will move 2 separate forces through it. First the forces of the LFoM alliance at 11.00 CET and second the WR alliance at 12 CET.

ALL of the LFoM alliance gather at Svasud at 11.00 CET Sunday morning. A scout will check DG entrance before we move there.

ALL of the WR alliance gather at Svasud 1 hour later at 12.00 CET. I will lead both these forces through DG and we'll log in Brefine.

- The will be a Emain force moving ou from MTK Emain to grab DC, Crim and (possibly) Dun da Behnn, ppl who could not or would not tag along the relic raid force moving through DG will join this force. Their task is very important.

- At 16.00 CET a preraid CG will be started, when the raid starts then this CG will be converted to the Emain force CG and the relic raid force will start it's own CG.

- We log in at: 17.00 CET

- RG/BC will have gathered north of Dun Bolg and another force will have gathered at MTK Emain. When these forces are rdy to move, then the relic raid force will move out to Mt Collory, NP will leave the relic raid zerg and attack Scathaig whereas the relic raid force goes straight for Dagda itself.

- At this time, RG/BC will attack Dun Bolg and the Emain force (led by Rauthan/Darkspirit) will move out to DC. If DC is already in our hands then they move straight to Dun Crimthainn. When Crim is taken Rauthan will make the decision to either go for Dun da Behnn or go back to Emain. This depends on how well we're doing at Dagda.

- The Emain force will keep MMG clear from albs and hibs so that the relic carriers can get through. It will be required that this force must be considerably large.

- In the meantime RG/BC will have grabbed Dun Bolg, this force then moves to Dun na nGed and take that keep too, having done that they go straight for Dagda to aid the relic raid force

At the relic fort itself:

- First door will be taken down by WR

- As the first door is going down, NP will be done with Scathaig and will have arrived at Dagda. NP will focus on taking the second door down. This door is usually the hardest and NP are very good at these kind of things.

- The third door will be taken down by Nazgul or whoever gets rams up first.

- The SE entrance will be HEAVILY guarded by specific guilds. These guilds are FoM, CE, SoTH, TDA, TDD and GS. They are to hinder any hibs from entering at all costs and this is what these guilds will focus on entirely at Dagda.

- The NW entrance will be guarded by Bokkerijders and Nidhug. It is believed that hibs will try to enter via this entrance when the first wave has died at the SE entrance so it may be calm at this entrance or it may get messy. Either way it must be well guarded.

- NP will carry the mid pwr relic home to Midgard. Rauthan and his forces will be at MMG by then keeping it clear from hibs and albs.

- The other relics will be brought to atk Emain and given to the albs. It is conceivable that we leave the alb pwr relic at Dagda and only give the hib pwr relic to the albs. Whatever we do at this point, we will only take the mid pwr relic to Midgard :wink:

just to point out attacking hibs at 4-5 pm on a sunday is in im my own oppinion not really primetime, hell they couldnt even kick you out of the relic for for over an hour just shows how few hibs online there was

Omg... just admit it, its impossible to raid at primetime.... unless the raids fails.....

Hibs were alot more than us, they were abit too slow to build up a proper zerg to get us out, that's all. I'd like to see albs pull off a raid at those times, server had alot more than 2000 ppl online, and even if hibs are in minority they have to have had atleast 500 ppl. We had a HUGE battle over Dagda, and hibs fought very well /salute

I like this quote... Not contending with the prime-timeliness of the raid (of course it was primetime, saying otherwise is just plain moronic), but I am very interested in seeing the population figures once the Chronicles come back. From what I have seen in keep raids, Emain zergs, and this last relic raid, I am absolutely convinced Mids have more RvR-active players than Albion.

Guess you don't know how hard it is to take a defended keep/relic do you? you need MORE people then there is inside.
But I guess you didn't thought about that did you.

Oh well next time Midgard will arrange a time with Hibernia so they can all gather alot of people etc before..

Christ almighty! I fealt lag alright and I was suprised to see 2 50 mids waiting for me as I entered and even more as I went deeper, but I didn't see the relic raid force.

what hurts my soul the most is that i had been /pharming people with my 46 cave shagimp for the whole time by spamming outer gate, and the exact moment i got 3 purple guards + 1 blue guard on me and my grp was occupied somewhere else i died and shortly after we all got wiped. i was at least hoping to die through the hands of a hib!

We hurried off when you started killing ppl I believe some ppl missed the first run because of you, so they had to go through the second wave (around 8 Fgs and yes we killed the Grandsummoner and no the darn cloak did not drop )

What I would like to see after middie relic raids is one of these great plans you always show and then another, only showing what went wrong or what was improvised along the way. I love reading that kinda stuff.

The only thing that didn't go according to the plans was that we didn't get the hib pwr relic so that we could charge ATK in Emain with it. Some other smaller changes were made of course, PP didn't guard the NW entrance, they were sent to help out BC and RG with keep takes instead, that was their own suggestion. All in all, it was a very good raid. We started the raid when it was supposed to and keeps fell smoothly. The PBAoE tactics at Dagda was also very successful, there were over 20 supp SMs there

how on EARTH can ppl whine that it isnt a primetime relicraid, we need to reserve 1 hr 'primetime' each day that fits every1 best, and cancel it if not the target realm atleast outnumbers attacking realm population at the time by atleast 5:1 ?
