strangely enough Croydon is twinned with Arnhem iirc. We even have a 'Croydon Square', though it's situated in an extremely bad part of town so hardly anyone ever goes there apart from drugdealers, gangsters and suchlike.

That's one thing I noticed when I worked in a Post Office in one of the rougher parts of Glasgow. Teenage girls only ambition is to get pregnant, so they can move out of home and get a council house of they're own, and plenty of state benefits. Yep a few years ago croydon had the highest percentage of single mothers in teh country, and the highest number of teenage pregnancies.
I doubt that thoose figures have dropped.
