Anyone else think its a bit sick? I mean, it was up there for ages with the few scientific bases up there agree to use it for research. Now its greed taking over, with half the countries in Europe trying to rape the area of natural resources.

Itrs kind of funny, the media are talking about how the retreating ice caps(caused by global warming) are exposing the natural resources. But if they farm the oil and gas, doesnt that help cause global warming?

Sure we must harvest supplies to keep on living. But we could do it a bit "slower". Insted of destroying mother earth for the next generations.

Insted of us humans being so greedy we should learn to share and minimize our use untill we know for certain how our behaviour influence on the world.

I am not saying we are the reason or not for destroying the ozone layer - cause I havent seen proof either way. But why not protect and take care of the earth untill we know what we are doing?:wub:

you have to realise, in todays world there are 2 terms: 'communism' and communism, one meaning the bullshit half the world (including my country) went through with USSR, the other is communism.

Well yes, people have a "saying" in the matter. But individual difference? Only with power, cash or leverage to someone who has either.

I do believe that they can burn up as much as they want, i'll adapt, or take what's coming ahead. Future generations, well, i'm doubting an englishman in the 50s gave a rats behind about mine, so it's due to return the favor.

I care about two things, myself(as is only natural) and my friends/family, that's as far as it goes really. If you start to worry globally or for some people going missing/ending up dead, you'll be sleeping, with luck, a blink of an eye.

i recognise communism as the best possible ideology for a society, but i also regognise it as something impossible to bring work into the current human mind.

on topic however, im more scared about what USA will do in case of cold war II than what russia can do.

well communism was in palce for years if u think about it, before money ect,
in all villages a few thousand years ago thier were no wages, farmers farmed fishermen fished ect some build houses other made cloths, every1 played thier part so that every1 had a better life.

Vikings were, for the lack of long rant, better people then the church f*cks who annihilated all.

Vikings actually lived by the "leave us alone, we leave you alone" code, as well as took anyone as family if need be.

They also didn't have a death penalty, quite fair justice system altogether(quite similar to modern), but they did have exile, which was worse then death really. But that was only for murder i believe(taking ones life in sleep etc).

As the Earths resources dwindle, with population growing exponentally the superpowers will resort to war to survive if necessary. Whether it be water or oil there will be fighting. America will start on Iran after its completely fucked up Iraq, operation nearing completion! All in the name of freedom? Nah, money rules and the continued supply of the black gold which America so desperately wants to secure.

They are so afraid of muslim countries owning most of the oil. What they should have done is put the war budget into developement of non carbon based fuels etc. That would be the way to beat the very economies they are trying to destabalise or beat into submission.

After the last G8 summit they made a statement putting several billion dollars of research money into alternative fuels. OPEC's official press response to this was to threaten the west with decreased supply and higher prices! Quicker we develope lasting alternatives the better. Would love it to be in my life time.
