The Pointlessness Of DF Entrance

The topic says it all, when i heard of DF and what it would bring i was excited about it. About the scope it would bring to Rvr, I imagined seiges of Keeps with the defensive forces trying to keep them to keep access for the whole of the realm.

How wrong was i? Seems all Rvr has became now a days is taking of empty keeps as fast as you can and then running off to Df before the enemy take them back.

And since this is the case, you may as well make DF open to all the realms always, since having it switch hands 20+ times a day is just stupid, Defend the keeps for once. or am i just dreaming of fun rvr that will never happen?

In which case like i said just throw away the keeps. ITs not like that or the relic means anything anymore <fumes in the corner>

But why should people stay and defend a keep when they can go to DF instead? The reason they took the keep in the first place was to get in DF.
There is more rvr in DF than outside and its a lot more fun if you ask me and the rest of sotl

Au contraire, yesterday in Hibernia the forces of Albion and Midgard were both taking and defending keeps. We also had a big clash at Albion Milegate, where Albion won a resounding victory - enabling them to take another keep and secure the entrance to Darkness Falls.

Made about 1,000 realm points in that time - went into DF, ran into Blood and some of his friends, our group wiped them out and made another 1,000 or so.

Lots and lots of fun all round, I'd say that DF has revived RvR for a lot of people, and brought some new people into it. For example some of the people showing up to help retake our keeps the other night didn't know which direction Sursbrooke was from Berkstead

hehe how about the lonely lvl 29 runiemaster trying to out run 3 lilispawns (which were orange/red) only to get nuked by a purp+++ theurgist... might as well have just left to me to die by them cos you sure as hell didn`t get any realm points for it i only have 7 anyway. although i am looking forward to nuke`n some of you albs, about time i got revenge on some of you, Giona your days are numbered

Hmmm....it sounds as if that Thurghist was close to the Mid entrance...perhaps there are Albs below those big stairs the next time I enter DF.

nahh they wouldn`t last 5 seconds at our entrance i was down near the cambions and cursed necyomancers well i was atleast near em for about 5 seconds. before that nasty albion theurgist nuked me

On the DF thing, I agree with Gombur, it's great fun RvRing in DF.

A question for everyone and anyone to answer, I've been working alot since patch day and havn't been able to check out DF as much as I wan't yet. Does the ability to enter DF still switch as much as it did on patch day?

DF seems to be fun for the level 50 characters.... i would rather xp in Hibs CF than DF. To me .... Darkness Falls sucks. My xp bar goes down instead of up.

Like its been said these are the first few days of a new area.Give it a while and things will settle down, for the moment its the novalty factor.Let people enjoy exploring the area.

LOL, the only RvR I've seen is Mids/Albs ganking greys in the merchant halls till the 40+'s turn up/get access or the occasional Alb zerging near the entrance to the legion chambers. I find myself longing for the days of some light ping pong in Emain, wondering which zerg force was going to gank you next.

LOL yeah killing grey con's , but HH took revenge later and charged both the Abl and the Hib entrance and slaugtred all the faul invader scum we saw ( and that was quit a few ) made a couple of 1000's RP

I guess you should visit DF more often then cause you sure as hell dont make 4000 rp in 20 min. by ganking greycons with your guild.

Heh, we're there for the fun. Charged into some 100+ Hibs last night and took down far more than our numbers before we went down; it's all about fun Since the princes are usually dead, RvR is the what you do with 2-3 groups, and after clearing the Mid side we go to the Hib, and vice versa. Sooner or later you get zerged, but you'll have a good time
