The Point Of Pubbes

Public servers are there for *Newbies*
If we dont play on these servers we may lose valuable members of the comunnity.
I Suggest certain respected players of the community are give are password and have the ability(if poker would right it) to change teams to their satisfaction.
I wouldnt recommend the password given out to anyone less than 100% integral and unlikely to give the passwords out.
The whole point of public servers is for an open practice whether skilled or unskilled.
People(read newbies) are often unwilling to change teams if they are on the winning team.
I used to not do this althought now i do.
Public servers are there to play and have fun on. If having fun for you involves raping bases and killing newbies then you are a fool robbing the community of newbies and suchlike
More l8r someone wants the phone

The problem for newbies is that it takes at least six months of regular playing to get good at the game and with a bit of luck tribes 2 should be out in 4.

(Hello everone! This is my first post here)

I have to disagree with you Baron. I've been playing pubs since Tribes has been out. It's not just for newbies. It's also for people, like myself, that aren't in a clan of some sorts. I've been approached to join a clan or two on occasion, but have declined. (call me a rogue if you will). I see plenty of people on pubs that have been playing for quite a while that aren't in a clan, are they all newbies? I'm not, that's for sure. I play them to perfect certain skills or to check out the latest mod (shifter is my current favorite). A seasoned player can get some real practice when trying to focus on a goal with a bunch of wild people on your team.

Sorry if i didnt make myself clear
i meant to convey that i think skilled and unskilled should play on public's but newbies are a pain in the ass when the teams are 10-10 and newbies on one side
they wont swap when its unfair the level the numbers, they wont swap then they are winning, they swap when their side is losing, etc. etc. etc.

Disagree, played tribes for over a year now most evenings, never been in a clan, as I could never commit myself and feel it would be unfair to let the other members of a team down as my job takes me away from home a lot. Anyway I think the skill level in the public servers is very high at the mo' and besides with a strategy team based game like tribes, as long as your a half decent FPS player you should be ok as long as you've set up your favs' ;)
