I read it, and disagreed. I'm perfectly entitled to. And like I've said time and time again (and you've managed to prove spectacularly here), you are remarkably adept at simultaneously accusing me of being immature/resorting to flaming, whilst doing exactly that. As a result, your opinion is of little consequence to me.

Also, you'll notice you posted quite a long time after me, so replying to a post I made, commanding me to agree with the one true way (tm) that you have decided on, after the event, doesn't make much sense really does it.

As for the 'copying' thing, there are always gonna be accusations of this now with a number of UK GSPs offering similar things. GI could be accused of being a BW copy, BW could be accused of being a WP copy - in fact you could make up almost any accuation you like depending on which GSP you favour.

Of course people will make the accusations based on when the service was unvieled. Bookable servers (including membership and the integrated clan servers) were under development by BW from before BW had funding, but because we rolled them out after GI offered clan servers the expected mocking threads of 'ah you just copied GI' appeared on their forums.

The portal is in response to a lot of feedback from people unable to find out easily what we offer, and being daunted by the news page and the number of links on it. The fact is that we have so much available now that a dedicated portal is the only way to handle it and, although its not remarkably different from the GI portal in its structure, its not all that different from the many other portals that have to do the equivelant job.

Next youll be saying our news feed copies X site cos the latest item is at the top

The new front page looks fine to me. At least we can now jump to any section without trawling through pages.

Whether a design works or not is a subjective thing. It works for me.

When i type in http://www.barrysworld.com it takes me to the news page. Is this what happens to everyone else?
If so why are people moaning about bookmarks and stuff, mine still takes me to the news page.
I can only get to the portal page by clicking on 'home' on the news page (it's taken me a couple of days to figure this out, I was wandering what the hell everyone was on about, thought you meant the xmas styling)
