daoc cheaters have been doing one better than that, by using a second pc the processes arent even running on the same machine making them near impossible to track.
Yet daoc is not dead (even tho there is a significant number who cheat), so its more people screaming dooom

Well considering they cant use the windows API to list running processes, there a bit stuffed.

Thanks Sony - for allowing people to EASILY hide code and processes from windows.

That is the problem and the whole point of the article, there is NO way of finding these hidden processes.

Yes you would think that and I am not a programmer so I don't technically know how it works but basically it runs as hidden system processes rather than conventional program processes and the Sony software hides them from all other processes scanning the process list.

The Sony software that gets installed has been classed as Spyware. You get the software from running a Song BMG music CD. Unknown to the user (it isn't in the EULA) the software contacts Sony and tells them when you play a CD.
