The Midgard Blues
Just posting a (weak) blues lyrics in true DAoC Midgard styley. Just thought I would start the ball rolling, in the hope that the idea will catch on for those of you more creative than I. My main, for those who don't know me, is a Norse Warrior in the Valour guild. Oh and the "Da Derrr Da Der" is the blues guitar playing in John Lee Hooker mode!... (i'll only put it into the first verse, you will have to imagine it for the rest of them!)... get the beat going.. da de, da de, da de...

stepped off Gothi's pad...

where I logged off last...
Walked up to the doors
and pushed down the lever
A zerker waved to me
After sheathing his cleaver
It was snowing outside
All crispy and white
I clicked on the hastener
and ran in to the night
There was nobody camping
the PK tonight
No greybashing killers
seeking an easy fight
I ran on to Fens
Chain jangling loud
I wanted to solo
and do Valour proud
The Miserable Zombie
said he was cold
the sight made me ill
His body of mold
I jogged on to Blendrake
My speed it did fade
I past the odd gravestone
Where no-one had prayed
I ran past Nottmore
and on to Odins Gate
I was tired and hungry
it was getting late
I was deep in the frontier
Seeking a solo fight
When an alb zerg thundered past
And gave me a fright
I released and returned
Realm points I did need
Running back to Odins Gate
at warrior speed
I reached the mile gate
Seemed no-one around
the howl of the wind
the only loud sound
When up popped a stealther
With a PA attack
But he missed his first cut
And was taken aback
I blocked with my shield
Procced many a DoT
His health faltered badly
It faltered alot
But unlike a Minstrel
He gave it his best
He didn't resort
to using SOS
I stood there triumphant
I made the kill
For the first time tonight
I wasn't rez ill
But I waited too long
stood in front of the door
When in through the milegate
another FG did pour
I released and logged
Enough for the night
But I'll be back again
For another solo fight!
