what do u have power pots and mcl for?

i pray lord for lowering timer on both mcl and potions
i use it very very often, got mcl2 btw, will get rp if decide to go 44/30 way
but again, it's better to spend all this mana for mezzing/rooting/stunning enemies and healing/rezzing your _group_ mates, rather than just _realm_ mates
you lead group, you are responsible for it, for all 7 people, for any win and for any lose, so i try my best for the group, i save mcl for the group, 5 minutes is like eternity on excalibur, everything can happen within 5 minutes

believe me, i have played sb for more than a year, so i been on both sides, it's better for all if dead people /release as fast as they can

Firstly, at no point did I say that people say I suck if you read the posts properly you will see that it is everyone else who says stealthers suck! I think stealthers are great fun. Nor have I said anywhere that people do not rezz/buff me because they think they are better than me.

Having played a (cave) Shammy and an uber Hunter (even if I do say so myself) I can see both points of view.

When-ever I play my shammy my first priority is always to my immediate group. Having said that if the opportunity presents itself I will always try and rezz, heal and/or buff non-groupies, especially solo'ers, as they might one day save my ass - besides which they are our fellow realmies, why not.

Having said that all the posts in this thread are indicative of what makes up our colourful realm. Regardless of class, guild, alliance or indeed realm, Enjoy!

P.S. For all those people that have never played a rogue, try it, levelling might be a pain, but RvR is kickass fun (especially in a stealther group) for both killing and reporting back - can't wait to get my sb up to a decent level to kick some alb/hib ass.

Well I now see why BarrysWorld is the joke of the DAOC community. The original post may have been irrate but quite rightly so...

Midgard has become a shithole recently, and to answer the points made...

Stealthers in groups...very valuable as they can pass information on about enemy, and they may even score you the occasional rp...but since most mids are rp whores, the wealth of positional information does not make up for the downfall in rps.

Rezzing...all realm mates should be rezzed, it is realm against realm, not every man for himself, regardless of class...except in big guilds who don't give a rats ass about anyone outside of their circle of scum!

MID IS BECOMING ANOTHER ALB, A REALM WITH A WEALTH OF IDIOTS BUT LITTLE FUN.

I did my bit, made an alliance that is about fun and not uberness, now I am trying to do the same on pryd/hib...but there the intention is RvR, as noone gives a shit about it there...they cry 'underpopulation' as they kill dragons instead of Albs!

Actually I think you'll find that's about the most stupid remark you made out of the whole lot.

The vast majority of Mid are NOT rps whores. Take a look at the guild list again and you will see there is a small percentage of very good, very experienced RvR orientated guilds at the top of the tree and then the rest of Midgard which has fairly average RP rates.

My guild is 43rd in the list of Midgard's 200+ guilds and we only have just about 2.5m rps that's a fairly average indication of the level of importance we put onto RvR.
Ie we do it when the majority of the guild wants to go do it and we take anyone who wants to come along. Last night we went and popped Caer Benowyc in Albion with a few other members of our Alliance and we took a lvl 27 runemaster with us - hardly the actions of an 'rp whore' set of Mids.

With the obvious exception of Nolby Pride, Red Guard, Black Company, who are all over 100 million rps, plus guilds like White Rose, Cutting Edge, Fellowship of Midgard - ie some of the realm's biggest guilds with lots and lots of members, I would say the rest of Midgard's guilds have an 'average' amount of rps compared to their Albion or Hibernia counterparts.
Both the 43rd listed guild in Albion and the one in Hibernia have higher rps than ours.

Don't tarnish the whole of the realm with the actions of the minority please. The other night I spent two hours in Darkness Falls helping one of your guild's bonedancers with buffs/heals etc so don't tell me I'm an rp whore thank you very much.

So yea i really think this post is aimed at us aswell, not exclusivly but my guild falls into the above mentioned defenitions. I did take the liberty of translating #3 into the "we are uber you suck" routine, i dont think anyone whould say that RvR guilds have no clue about group rvr (and you as a stealther have) thats the reason i thaught you meant RvR guilds are just ignorant and dont give a fuck about you.

Apologies for the delay in replying, was away for a week, but yes, Wolverines is a semi-roleplaying guild to the extent that we try and avoid leet speak and other such technicalities.
We're not full on role players as a guild, although we have members who are, but we have been known to break out into character once in a while


Basically the point I was trying to make is that the whole of Midgard can't be tarnished with the same brush. I'll help people when I can but at the end of the day my guild and my group come first.

Well semi playing a sb now i understand ppl getting annoyed by not beeing rezzed. But i guess u always look after yourself, when playing in non stealther grp, your grp comes first. When playing a stealther getting a rez is a priorety. but :shrug: this just how rvr is atm i guess

it depends a bit on how you play in general.

I have a Summoner which can rezz (to speak for the rezzers side) and some other chars which can't.

I always try to be a nice guy and rezz other people and vice versa I expect other people to do the same.

That's MY problem when they don't stop.

There can be a lot of reasons why the other group won't stop to rezz...
