I am sorry that I postet the racist joke. It obviously hurt people more than thought it would. It's just always been a favourite of mine, but I see you think racist jokes are way out of line.

As for the use of the word faggot in the thread I didnt think about it at all. For me it was just a word used for exclamation. As i explained in the thread before it got closed, it was not the word I'd use had it not been in a second language, and obviously i need to work harder on thinking things through when I write on boards. I am very accustomed to using irony when talking, saying one thing and meaning the opposite, something I obviously have to avoid when writing a post. At the time of writing the post i was just very very angry and frustrated. I had just let the culprit I described off here at the docks, and he was the first real racist I had ever met. Just ticked me off more than I though it woud, meeting a real racist.

For those who are interested; I am pretty sure I'm not a racist person. I dont know about homophobic, but I dont really think i am that either. I am usually way to relaxed to care.


Oh, and sry for the engrish. And this account wont be used again, except maybe in this thread, and this thread alone.

Speaking from experience (and im not trying to tell the mods how to do things, simply posing a potential solution). On the board I used to mod for, we had a set of rules drawn up and posted for all to see.

If anyone stepped over the line, they were given a warning (through PM) and the post was edited with the reason.

If they broke the rules 3 times, they were banned.

Of course, there were rules which constituted and immediate ban (e.g. goatse)

This seemed to work - if all of the mods conformed to the rules.

Just a thought.

Granted!. but thats why there are "classifications" of "out of order" posts. Certain ones fall into the immediate bannage, others into the "warning" process.

to clarify what Bigfoot said. I first posted thread where I mostly just blew off steam. I had my first encounter with a true racist and was really just very pissed off.
The day after I was reading through the J.O.T.D section and decided to post a racist joke I've always thuoght funny. I know it is racist and according to board policy it is wrong to laugh at racist things, but I also laughed when I read "Q: Name a bird that can't fly; A: That bird from Holby City", wich largely meens that jokes dont have to be political correct to be funny, not as far as I am concerned anyway.
So I postet that stupid racist joke, wich got me banned.
Thinking that the ban was unjustified, ut was afterall just a racist joke, not a racist comment, I thought i'd stick 'un up the mods' arses, made another account and gave what I thought of as a clear message that I was, indeed, no racist.
I meen, "I'm an open racist hear me roar. I also hate puppies and beat women". I thought that was as clear as "I am not racist. I also think puppies are cute." Unfortunatly, having trained martial arts and allso sparred against girls I have given the girlies the odd punch. Some of the punches I am even proud of . Dont meen I go around attacking women.
Anyway, that post was also deemed to be racist, and the account was banned. The banning of the account was fair 'nough seeing as my first account was banned. The editing of the post, however, and the part where the post was said to be racist, that I couldnt understand.

But a little question to the mods; Its wrong to post a racist joke, but it's okey to joke about killing babies and people taking suicide? Oh well....

Would you like me to be hangend in any special fashion? I am quite good with knots and I have all sorts of types of rope, plank and metal componens here. I could, for example hang myself in aluminium wire while overseeing three guys covered in shit singing "I Can change", to give an reflection upon my life so far. I too can participate in the singing. In fact I think the whole act would work as a more cinematic way of suicide if the three guys just do backup while I sing the lead.

Pulled a wee 'un. First I got banned for that racist thingy. Then I made a new account, got that 'un banned as well. Then I made this one so I could comment on the "bash away at wickedragon" thread.
I was wondering, if I ever get unbanned, if I should add it to the sig: "Bans: 2", or is that flaunting what I shouldnt flaunt?

problem is the ppl sitting at work or school. They might share one and the same IP. Thereofre putting the ban on one guy might include some other poor tosser.
