Channel 4 are providing the first episode of their new sitcom, The IT Crowd free for download here:

I've only watched the first minute or so, and although it has Chris Morris in it it seems a bit dated. I thought 4:3 and studio laughter were out in new comedy, but I guess I was wrong. Try it out, but I suspect it'll only be a bit funny.

Fuck sakes, 23 minutes of my life i'm never going to get back. I was planning to watch it on Friday night, saved myself the hastle though.

However there were a couple of laugh out loud bits, mostly in the first 5 minutes; but on the whole it was embarrassingly unfunny and cringe worthy.

The best thing about this new comedy is the hugely attractive ginger bird; that black suit made my scrotum tighten.

Oh absolutely, i'm not a fan of the first two series of RD but I loved series 3 to 6. However I could see potential in RD (Rimmer and Lister's opposite personalities playing off one another).

I'll watch another episode. I'm not sure I can handle the canned laughter.

Only had time to watch a couple of minutes last night, will give it a proper go later. You can never really judge a comedy from episode 1. I thought the first episode of Hyperdrive was dire but I'm warming to it now; still no Red Dwarf but it has its moments.

Downloading Episodes 1 & 2 now. I was looking forward to this, trailers made it seem funny. Guess i could be dissapointed though, reading everyones thoughts
