The insanity of wait lists

Let me start with this, SB's are not the most wanted class in groups but so worse as the last days i never seen before.

I started to play today at 4 pm, actualy not to play really but to get on the wait list at H, at that moment i was nr 11, ok time enough to dinner, take a shower, watch the television or whatever... 8 pm i take a look, still not my turn but i see a healer logging on and... yes he get a spot in 5 sec, ok fine for him and i wait... a skald logged in and after about 30 minutes yes he gets a spot, asking the listkeeper what was going on she replied: The group needs a skald..., ok i wait longer and longer... At almost midnight still no spot so i message the LK to remove me from the list. (no offence against that Lk)

Ppl, this is insane!!!

Stop the insanity of the waiting lists at H and Lair!!! There are enough exp spots to get decent experience for all, ignore the lists and gather at Gna Faste, put your flag for lfg on and i think everyone gets a group within a hour, the ppl who works or go to school are never be abled to find a group with these stuped waiting lists and will leave the server in a matter of time.

So think abit of this, you want to continue with the waiting lists or want to change this so everyone can get more fun in this game, or you want to continue the lists and ruin the game fore many players?

Everyone wants to get to 50 asap, exping is not the most "fun" part of the game, so help eachother, go to Gna put your lfg flag on and stop the insanity of the wait lists.

(A simple calculation: from 42 to 50 average time is lets say 10 hours to get a half ding, 8 levels 16 half dings is 160 hours play time. fanatic player plays 10 hours a day, average wait time is optimistic 5 hours, that means 80 hours of waiting time!!!)

You want to see others getting exp or you want to get exp yourself?

(And dont flame me about things like: Start an healer/shaman or other wanted class or playing an alt or so)

I think the list-system is good, but it depends very much who's the LK (listkeeper). Some ppl just move down the sb and hunters on the list, just because they doesn't know the true value of them, for them it's more like "sb only got leather they can't do dmg / tank" & "hunters has spear which sucks and they cannot do any dmg nor tank" You will notice that sometimes it won't be that hard getting group, I'm supporting the list system coz I just came from albion playing L40 inf.. the worst I've ever been through. They denied me group all the time. I asked every1 in Lyonesse, Barrows e.g. "No we need tank/sorz/minst" were the answer every time.. With the list system u at least have a chance to get xp as sb/hunter imho. And with the list-system u can plan your stuff better. If you are #5 on list, then you can do your work/eat or something while waiting, if there were no list instead of doing yer stuff you would be running arround "LFG":ing

Unfortunately mate - everyone goes through this.

The worst levels in this game are lvls 36-42 for middies I think, as you seem to die a lot, and it's a hard choice whether to go in big groups or small groups, varulv or spindel or vanerm swamp or H in malmo.

Once you hit 42, it will get "slightly" better, and tbh you should have got into g2 if the list was not too long, if the teams were doing ok. I don't believe in people jumping the queue except for healers, and maybe pbt runeys, but then again - I'd still be very tempted to stick exactly to the queue whatever.

Read this link for more things about "lists"
http://forums.barrysworld.com/showthread.php?threadid=36173

You'll get there eventually - just bear with it, and you'll get a nice group soon.

I don't like list much - but actually imo - it makes it easier for SBs to get groups.
If people were to gather in Gna (for instance) and make a team and run somewhere - my bet and thoughts would be they would worry more about "the perfect group" thus waiting for a tank rather then taking the SB/hunter.

Healers and runemasters have alwasy been able to go around the list if the groups need them, they are also put on a seperate list for "support classes" because there wouldn't be much exp.ing without them.

I shall say it again,

Try US style, that way no one is left out, and the exping is usally 24/7 (well was on the US hehe)

exp is alot faster over time

I agree with Xandax the list helps Hunters and SB to get into grp's in the lair. I have logged Runolas in lair and play alts until I get a grp. My experiance is tht LK pays more attention to lvl (43-46 g2 and 47+ g1), but the only chars getting bumped are main Healers for mezz/heals and at least one pbt Runi for g1.

That said, I have come across some twats in H-Lair grp's acting in just the way the first poster describes. To give you a little hope, as soon as you reach lvl 43 it's ususally all about were you are on the list and not the class. I have been in g1 with my SB and 2 Hunters and noone said a word, and that is because eventually ppl find out that it does not matter. You don't need the perfect g1 or g2 as long as you have the cornerstones there. The only thing you cannot do without is a high lvl healer for g1 and also try to get a Runi. Runies IMO not a must if there are noone, but get one as soon as possible if you can.

I also agree with Xandax, that if ppl gather up in Gna...who is most likely not to get any grp's...SB and Hunters m8.

soloing or alt-playing is your only hope when on a list :)

I bet 2/3 of all alts are made when ppl get high nuff to get into malmo and wait on lists

I think its sad to c ppl sitting on hill waiting for a spot in grp. Go to spindel or Varulvhamn or even play an alt.

I got 2 alt chars to lvl 20 while i was on list and i had lots of fun doing it;)

Advice.:
When you log into the contact lk, get on list and go do something until you are called for ok;) lets all have some fun in the game;)

May I ask what's the use of lists if people won't follow them?

Tranquil - some people stick to the lists, some don't.

You just have to make sure you get in a group where the list keeper seems to be doing it fairly i.e. giving everyone on the list, in order, their spot.

if you want to level fast without waiting in the list make a healer
if you want to spend 10 hours in a list make a shadowblade
this is simple like 2 by 2

how the hell you think most crafter started waiting on that dam list but stang is right sb do more dam to mobs than most tamks do but take lmore dam that means healers have to work harder and with mesing healing its not easy to do and when an sb/hunter/sb/rm gie due to healers not being able to heal fast enought the healers sometime get called few names thats why there not realy liked at h
but yes i have also found that some lk at h deliberatly move ppl down the list for no reason other than a friend wants to join or a guild member wants to join
