I went to yggdra forest tday for some middie slaying :p
After I killed 2 people, 2 guards bumped on me

After killed those 2 I thought yay!
But 3 secs later I got killed by that stupid 3th guard :( :( ....doh

The first 2 guards were orange to me and the 3th red.
3 guards is to much I tell you!!
Maybe when I reach lvl 50 I can take all 3

Heh I went to yggdra with a small zerg force recently. We had mucho fun, saved a few lower level albie pals and ganked quite a few middies. Even bumped off a couple of groups of higher levels until -their- zerg squad came out. We got a bit beat up but managed to run away having killed about half of them, and then after a small fight with a couple of lvl 50's erm.. ran into the uberguards of the relic keep.

Doh!

Only shieldspecced puretank classes (hero/warrior/armsman) can (with loads of luck) beat a full patrol by themselves. Other classes (with same loads of luck) can avoid been ganked and run away (healers with a landed ae instamezz, etc etc)

No way as enchanter but... hey no tank can run into a full group of middies (low cons) and qc pbaoe them all in 1cast

An enchanter can easely 3 guards on lvl 50...But you have to get the guards on your underhill and you nuke them one for one.

I'm lvl 41 and I am able to do 2 guards if they attack my underhill first and mostly they do cuz the underhill walks behind me.
But 3 guards kills my underhill to fast and then they kill me in 4-5 hits :p

:)

I guess there is a luck factor involved, i once at lvl 38 was jumped by some hib guard a few steps from Dun Crim, i took out a champion and nearly the scout, then the third took my out with help from two torc that i pulled with my Ae... :) But i guess the two remaining guards would have ganked me.....

A sorc with a pet can easily take a guard patrol, unless they come from behind (ie no time to mez :p). Normal patrol with 2 blues and a yellow can be handled by a smiter as well :p Let them gang up on you, mez, step back, stun and 3x smite a blue, pbae to finish off, repeat with second blue, start on yellow. You'll end up meleeing it but with the HP the guard will have left that shouldn't be a problem ;)

Screw Layl's lvl 50- pets. Orange con pets are the only way to go. ;) They do tend to take a bite out of their owner a bit too often tho.. :(
