Just watched this last night, as terrifying a film as I have seen in a long time, was really good, bit of a pap ending but definitly worth seeing!

try the re-make its easy to get into, if a little odd, but quite clever i thought. Much as i like japanese films are lot of them are quite odd! (excuse the sweeping generalisation!)

must be nice for hollywood execs. so thick as shit they are that they just buy a class japanese/korean/chinese film.

What did you think was bad about it? the plot is good, it looks good, the actors dont do a bad job although the girls boyfriend is pretty poor. It keeps you on the edge of you seat and pretty scared most of the time, so what was wrong with it?

Well I didn't think it was that bad a movie, kept most of the scary bits from the original and to be honest I didn't find it as confusing as the Japanese one...but that may be because it was the second time round so to speak.

I am struggling to remember if bits were cut out and new bits added...seem to recall bits with schoolgirls but that could be something else entirely or the sequel.

there seems to be a fotm which started with the ring, which i also thought was good,of people saying that if a film has a japanese original then the remake must suck -

I found it boring and not at all scary.
