1 cleric 1 mincer 3 paladins 2 friars 1 wizard?
i can agree with you on the point that atm, midgard is classwise stronger.
like:
savage > merc
shammy > cabalist(disease)
healer = cleric(healing)
sorc = healer(CC)
skald > mincer(not counting sos)

now, on too RA's:
best mid grp would be imo:
2 savages 1 warrior 1 skald 3 healers 1 shaman
this gives midgard 3x pr and 1x ichor, of useful ra's
best alb grp imo:
2 mercs 1 pala 1 mincer 1 sorc 1 theurg 2 clerics
this gives albion 1xfh 1xsos 2xbof

an standard thrust merc would swing for around 400 dmg a combat round on enemy chain, at around 1.6/7 secs pr attack round.(including earth buffs/haste)

now im asking you, where's the big difference in the strengths of albion and midgard?, imho the balance is very close, and tbh, without savages and asd, albion would be much stronger than midgard.

Fyric, I won't agree with you completely, ASD has to go. However I think that before savages are "put in line" with the rest of the realm light tanks, they need to make skald damage-add RA Fury of the Gods better, this should be a _good_ counter to BoF should this RA be up, I'm looking for something like triplewield-scale damageadd with 1 min duration on 30 mins recast.

However I do feel sorry for the hibs who atm are pretty inferior not having as good RAs to use vs tank groups(granted GP is great, but can it compare to BoF vs savages? I think not).
