if only I had learnt to be a forester life would have been much nicer :)

Relaxing on the couch...........I think you should have been swaffling whilst on the phone, much more productive use of time!

my boss is about 6'5" and looks and is built like a cage fighter. though he'd probably give me hell for not swaffling the elephant yet too :/

I was tired! I'd been out running with huskies all day! that takes it out of a man you know

I know this concept of going outside and doing physical stuff is unknown to some of you but I'm really giving it my best and this cuts into my nerd-time something awful :p

my mate has three, and there is a number 4 planned. he wants to get a trike or quad and have the dogs do a proper team pull. as is, we train them with the things you can see in the pics, for commands eg mush, gee, hu and stop trying to get me killed you stupid fuckers.

the number three dog (not in the pics) is a Malamute, and is stronger but slower than the two speed demons there, though the dark one can pull about 6 times his own weight, meaning he can take me and the step up a slope with no problems at all :)

Awesome! I hope your brakes are good - I'd always be worried the dogs would see a rabbit or something and leave you in a hedge :)

brakes haha, what are these wondrous things you speak of? :) seriously though, the big quads and trikes have hydraulic or mechanical disk brakes and they *need* them! Ooh, from my personal experience, more than two dogs pulling something isn't going to stop easily. say you have six dogs pulling, and each can pull 6x it's own weight then that means ~150kg per dog times 6 so close to 1000kg worth of pull whereas I weigh 90 and a quad weighs about 40. stop, haha :D

these dogs are only half trained yet, but even now they completely focus on the run and the pull. they're working dogs, and live for this stuff. they need to do it, and it's just amazing to see them at work. completely awesome, and I'm a cat person donchaknow ;)

we have some large wooded areas around where I live that is ok, and two dogs can handle 90deg turns without much difficulty (the step drifts with the speed of it, which is awesome hehe)

also, the weather is hovering around 0C which is ok-ish for the beasties. we can run them up to around 10C though that is pushing it heatwise. Ideally it would be about -5 or less for them to have an optimal time on the run.
