Wait till you're on the final table of this tourney though and going for the big bucks! (Well, not that big, but you'll still find it exciting)

Playing for the buzz is one of the worst things you can do.

It doesn't matter, you shouldnt be playing at a level where you get a rush in any situation - I do get enjoyment out of the game, but its not on a hand to hand basis, its contentment/satisfaction of having played well regardless of results - nicer when you win though :)

if you are telling me that you are playing a hand and on the river comes a card that you know will not let anyone beat you and someone before you goes all in and you dont get a rush you are a robot.

Sorry cal, I just dont.

If you get excited about winning a hand you get irritated about losing a hand, you really have to adjust your mindset and get your enjoyment from making correct decisions rather than the outcome of a hand.

If I played it well and lost then fine, if I played it well and won thats fine, because in the long run I'm going to get your money whatever the % of the hand was and your going to get it whatever your % was, as long as I made the correct play in the hand that is good enough.

If I played it badly and won I'm angry with myself and if I played it badly and lost I'm angry with myself - because if I make that mistake again I'm costing myself money in the long run regardless of the short term outcome.

Heh, I don;t agree with ECA, it's ok to get excited..The key is keeping a clear head when you do and ofc, not showing it in Live games.

Was in a Freeroll yesterday, didn't make a call that my entire mind said I should make.

Was a chance that one of the two guys in the large pot were on a Flush, I only had a pair of Aces and all the cards were down. I had put a lot into the pot but the Flush draw came up on the Turn/River. In the end I folded and one guy had nothing and the other had Ace 2, giving him a lesser hand than mine since I had Ace 6. He won the pot and instead of being on 13k chips I was on like 5k. I wasn't too happy and strengthened my resolve for later hands and I managed to take out several rivals on my table and come back up to 10k in chips, which I was pretty pleased with.

A little emotion isn't always bad, it gave me the guts to make a few calls that I'd have otherwise played safe as usual.

Thanks Gamah, I can't play now as I'm off oot. But a question that occurs to me is this:

If you win some money, does it matter that you haven't set up your real money account?

it shouldnt do, after all if the money is in your 'PKR' account then you can either withdraw it straight away or after your 'big' win play on their site thus keeping the money with them.

I think every account is a "real money" account because all you do to add a credit card to add funds I don't think you do anything else.

They set the accounts up in a nice way imo, you can sign up and win real money from Freerolls with out ever committing your CC details to them. Only if you want to put money into that account do you have to give any details, it's the way things should be really.

I got my PM thanks Gamah..

Do you know if it's possible for us to make this like a monthly regular thing? I am not expecting a $100 Private Freeroll every month of course, but something just for fun perhaps, if this one goes well.. even if it's just a non money tournament or a very low $ Freeroll.. could be good :p

If you check in the game it will also say "1d10h23m" or something until registration.. so you can always deduce the time accurately like that.

With regards to making it a montly tournament I will look into it mate, I doubt it but we could do a bi-monthly tournament.
