The forces of albion... have captured Thidranki Faste!

After struggeling and fighting for almost two days now (and nights), hard work has payed of and we finally got the keep. However, we couldn't have made it without the great leaders and of course the big numbers of people we managed to have at the moment. When i did a /who thidranki it showed a total of 75 people in Thidranki at prime numbers, and this is true - quite amazing! ;)

Anyway, by this post I just want to thank all of you who was present on this little 'keep raid' and wish you all good luck in the future now when we got the keep (for a day or two)

If anyone from albion got some screenshots from this little raid, please post them!

Cheers

A big thanks to all involved, Through adversity and bad time zone planning we pulled it off.

A great job by all. The stealthers were amazing and the unsung heros of tonight, IMHO, they keep a good watch on our backs and did some great damage to reinforcements coming in.

Whilst chaotic, as all raids tend to be, some great team work was shown by all. Especially keeping it together at the end when we almost got wiped in the Lords room and for fending the incoming Mids for long enough.

There are a lot of individuals to be thanked for their specific efforts but I dont want to name them here and make them target no. 1 for the Mids and Hibs.

Also a thanks to both Hibs and Mids for making it a great nights entertainment. Quite a few times I thought we were close to defeat and as I logged now the action was still going with both other realms coming to try and chuck us out of our new home however temporary it may be :).

Once agin thanks to all for one of the best nights I have ever had in Thidranki, it certainly wasnt short of excitement.

Nice work on behalf of the ram grps in particular starkill and smoosy, its alot harder trying to organise 40+albs than it is 20 on a raid my only fear now is all the hibs will disappear down their wee holes again now they lost keep.

I agree, I hope one of the enemy realms takes the keep soon. I want to get my Siegecrafting up some more :)

Oh well...

We tried last night to take keep but hard with no rams :(

Pretty pointless bashing doors too as the Albions used a bug to repair the outside door.

So youre patting each other on the back for taking bg keep with SEVENTY FIVE people. That is not an achievement, that is a miracle if you cant.

The fact that there were 75 people is frankly an achivement in its self, to get the word around to those numbers is pritty tough.

No back patting on the numbers, but for the fact that we were organised in what we did.

We could have taken it with much lower numbers but it was nice to see a good turn out also.

I am sure if you had put out a call to arms and it has been answered so well within your realm you would be quite pleased too.

As for exploiting a bug, I am not that familar with the door repairs I concentrate on their demolition, so appologise if what I now say is incorrect but I believed that it was possible to upgrade both doors if done from the inside and outside. If we have in some way found a bug then I am sorry. Having said that all documentation states that it is a general upgrade on the doors so I dont really see how that is any different form upgrading both from the inside or doing each seperately. Or maybe you are just frustrated that a lot of people ferried wood in a great cost to themselves I really dont know. If the fact that we upgraded the doors in some way frustrates you please let us know if you manage to take the keep and we will have a collection for you. Doesnt matter because it proved my point to those there the night before if you want to take a keep bring rams. Sadly I have a few still kicking about in my vault so please give me a chance to get my Siegecrafting a bit higher.

pour your money down the toilet

its all virtual money anyway, but spending money to upgrade thidranki doors is the equivalent of dropping it on the ground.

why bother.

thidranki keep is a ping pong ball, it only stays with 1 realm until some1 can be arsed to bring rams along. those half arsed raids where people bash on the doors dont count.

actually, i DO pat you on the back for organising 75 people in a raid, since i have led a few raids myself and know how painful it can be.

however with such a mallet to crack a wallnut im sure i speculate that this is the type of organisation you made (please remember the following is meant as a fun statement, not a joke, well done albs)

alb raid leader and 75 albs port into thidranki

alb raid leader "THERE IS THE FORT!"
74 albs "KILL!"

nice raid guys!

I think at the time it was reported that a lowbie alb zerg was in thid.. I did a /who thid and i think {16} was the answer lol and the most i ever seen in thid was 40 hibs

Well done.. they teach zerging in albion at a low level it seems :m00:

It's quite amusing that Albion can manage 75 people to raid thid, but half the time can't even send 1 fg to take back their frontier keeps. :p

I wasnt there but if you are referring to the fact that the outer door can be repaired from inside the keep then this isnt in any way bug abuse. No line of sight is neded for repairs. Take a look at this post to see that it happens everywhere http://forums.barrysworld.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38368

So the zeeerg almost got wiped out? rofl

Gratz on the keep take, but its funny to hear of that many Albs trying to take the keep.

I remember the days when BG first opened and we'd have 3FGs v 3FGs max and our first keep take was composed of 3FGs with rams. aaahh those were the days.
