Well it always swings. Lewis' bad luck was good luck for both Vettel and Raikkonen. The crashes and safety car periods did Vettel loads of good. Plus having a blank sheet of a car for Vettel/RB to play with was also a stroke of luck there.

Good clean racing between the people that mattered. Webber though, really :(

Alonso though afterwards looked like a man now ready to give up. Sad really because he does still have a small chance and it's not like him to give up - plus regardless of Vettel's form this year, Alonso is by far the most deserving of the WDC.

Well, this could be an interesting Grand Prix. The Americans really aren't helping the stereotypes everyone has of them - extra wide seats in the grandstands (well tbh, if you've been to Silverstone or any football match you might appreciate that!), lashings of utter stupidity (some yank tard of a VIP asking Mark Webber where his from then "wow, you're English is excellent!") and the slowest marshalling on the planet - if not slow then actually sleeping on the side of the track.
Very much not a typical Tilke circuit - it's actually good. But I think Tilke doesn't seem to have much of a clue, he's concocted a buttload of absolutely crap modern circuits and the first good one (COTA) is a copy and paste job from good tracks. But credit where it's due, Qualy was damn good and the start could be interesting!

Should be a fun race anyway.

One almost certain crash is Alonso at the start - surrounded by Maldonado and Grosjean ;)

So they've actually done it - outright cheating. Never mind. This is Ferrari after all. I'd laugh if RBR decided to break the seal on Webber's gearbox too ;)

Well played, Lewis. Vettel sounded like a right stroppy twat after he'd been passed (assuming that that's what he was moaning about).

I prefer Vettel over Alonso but damn it was nice to only hear the national anthem once :)

Cracking race, fair few moves, some good racing in general and a great drive & result from Lewis. Vettel getting a bit whingey again, that did make me laugh :D Still not happy about the sportsmanship levels from Ferrari but they're not about sport.

Fantastic race, well done Seb, not that I'm usually a fan but anyone but Alonso frankly.

I'm not not really a conspiracy theorist and don't often go for the FIA pro Ferrari stuff but WTF was going on with Hulkenberg's drive through? It looked a good move with Lewis giving him space and he was just unfortunate to lose his back end a bit. The stewards have never been so quick to hand out a penalty.

Vettel overtook kobayashi on a yellow flag but no one has said anything on it (other than the commentators)

TBH Alonso has been the best this season considering how questionable the Ferrari has been this year.

Hulk knocked Lewis out via a reckless move in wet conditions.

Hulk was deserving of that punishment for exactly the above reasons.
Think Vettel deserved that title, even though I've been backing Alonso since Lewis wasn't able to (and certainly should have!) for dragging that shiteheap of a ferrari around the world like he has. Seb showed why he was deserving today.

Been watching F1 since the mid-80's.

Since it's been off free-to-air for most of the season, I've pretty much stopped.

Nothing to worry or be bothered about. It was all over the news and the reaction appears to be the same everywhere.
No, they have NOT lodged a protest and the FIA are NOT investigating it.
1. Ferrari are considering it. This is Ferrari after all, it's been a while since they've been able to win anything under their own steam. If you can't win in your own right then...
2. Nothing will happen. It was universally agreed about half an hour after the race that there were no yellow flags involved. Just dangerous conditions flags which do not forbid overtaking. That's before the arguments about the marshall's green flag clearly in view. Flags/signs at the side of the track take automatic precedence over any automatic signalling relayed to the car's dash/wheel.

The first thing I noticed was the big green light, I wonder if Vettel is stilll thinking of switching to Ferrari :p

Really hope nothing is done about this. Normally wouldn't bother me, but the whole thing with Ferrari sabotaging Massa's car to bump Alonso up just makes me want to see them fall flat on their faces.

Ferrari have had a response, the result stands. Vettel did no wrong as there was a green flag that wasn't clear on the TV footage. Ferrari have accepted it and will not pursue it, so that's all over. Vettel is definitely the champion.
Certainly been a season for drama this year. Let's hope next year is a season for racing...

For sure, I'm in Aus for most of March with a hop over to Kuala Lumpur for the weekend for the second race then back to Sydney for a week to fuck about.
