Would not bet on it right now. Protester died on Friday during a rally following the F1 announcement and there was big rally at the funeral yesterday which turned violent. The protests will increase as the race gets closer. In response the Bahrain authorities have effectively closed off many of the Shi'ite villages and they are under curfew.

I agree, I don't think the race should go ahead - but I'd like to watch it.

Wrong place wrong time my arse. Wrong country shouldn't be there is the case.

F1 lends Bahrain legitimacy. I daresay security will be tight as a nun's chuff but I wouldn't be surprised if a demonstrator managed to set himself alight on the track...

"Wrong place wrong time" was referring to the 4 Force India personnel caught up in the middle of that protest, they don't really have a choice in the larger scheme. I'm not disagreeing with you, I don't think it should be held there at all.

Horrific thoughts of a demonstrator running onto the track and getting mown down at xxxMPH. It would be like that protestor disrupting the boat race but with much lower chances of not dying. :(

That was intense. How they have the balls to keep the throttle fully open while a few feet away from the car in front...

Hamilton stripped of his pole position... was kind of a weak excuse by Whitmarsh, I do wonder if they'd of been more lenient if it wasn't such a blatent lie by the team. Interesting line-up for tomorrow now though :D

Like cunt. Quite frankly it's disgusting, it didn't impact on the result, fair enough rules are rules - if so, sporting penalty, either one of two options puts him 6th. But excluded from qual? Fuck the twatting cunt off, RB do it *constantly* in races and don't get touched. Races. Those important things after qual.

A few teams do it during the race but the race has always been slightly different, the reality is McLaren fucked up.

Lewis seems to have lost a lot of points by pit-lane mistakes. Let's hope all his wheels go on properly this time and he can tear through the pack. Assuming it's as if quali didn't happen for him he can start on whatever tyres he wants.

It is bloody harsh though, there's no way the weight-benefit from that amount of fuel would make him half a second quicker.

Lewis got dicked on, as usual.

As much as I dislike Maldonado happy to see a Williams win.

Sky's red button shizzle is much better than the beeb's was. It's the first time I really poked around it today, it's all very impressive. And well done Maldonado. Massa was so wet when Maldonado and Alonso lapped him; he backed right off - he was in a race with Di Resta at the time and could probably have overtaken him.

Yeah it's true - I just hated the way he completely backed off when he could've carried on through the first few corners and then let Alonso past. He wrote off his own race with Di Resta in that one move. It was just... wet.

so 5 races and 5 different winners, madness :)

Cmon Kimi on Monaco! 6-6 would be ridiculous.

This season has just been so awesome so far - minus the Mclaren fuckups as Hamilton should have won 3 races so far :p

I guess the next location should really be classed as a great spectacle rather than an actual race.

Its actually the fact that five different teams have won that's the most amazing thing. I'm pretty sure that's never happened before.
