Our little group saw something strange at the silo last night, in the 10 minute gap between porting and getting wiped by the Hibbie zerg force.

An Elven female, wearing her undies (I kid you not), standing in the little building ... and then a couple of minutes later a norse male walking towards the building, also in his undies, and carrying a large bag.

Obviously we acted for the moral majority and killed them both.

But what was going on ?? Bizarre.

Yes, last night, Melgar, a respected member of the Norse community, was intercepted by Albion scouts while attempting to meet with Merrick, an Elven female, at the Old Mill in Emain Macha. Though the ultimate purpose of their tryst was unclear, the simple facts that they were meeting in the dead of night in a quiet location in Hibernia - well known for it's romantic night sky and warm evening air - and all but unclad, speak for themselves. Needless to say, the shocked Albions at the scene soon put an end to this foul union. Even more alarming was the presence of another Norseman, Perplexed, who arrived on the scene soon afterwards. We are unsure as to whether he was there to disrupt the meeting or whether we was an accomplice of Melgar. Unfortunately, he was unresponsive to our questioning, and we were force to slay him. It is our belief that this sort of behaviour is not the first incident of it's kind and we call upon the Norse and Elven communities to shun and deride these foul freaks of nature, and to hound them from the comfort of their homes!

also the fact that to get that zerg force in emain, means we lose most of our exping population.

when the call goes up for massive emain ownage 10 minutes later dustballs are blowing accross hibernia.

anyways..... jexa you still got access to thidranki?

There is only one defence against a zerg. Dont be where it is. They then get bored and take a relic :) Mids zerged all the time whilst trying to claim superioir tactics. Now they know a zerg does what it wants and though its not impossible to defeat, it has yet to been beaten.

All bow to the all-conquering Zerg. Feed it rp's or do something else.

So come on guys how do you beat the zerg?

I do have a sense of humour but that's so tacky it's not even funny. Not keen on people who've never met me having the impression I use DAOC for cybersex or other similar moronic anti-social habits.
If I have to log out in Emain I remove my armour, on the assumption I'll likely get killed on logging it. Saves it's condition a little longer.
So, I log in, find 2 Albs there who promptly kill me and next thing I know I'm being told I'm on the forums in some smut-joke.
Sorry if you think I've had a humour bypass here but I'd rather be thought of as uptight than some cyber-slapper because I know fine well there are some people who'll take tripe like this seriously and spread it round :-(

Err Danyan's post was actually very funny. And it -did- look very strange. We found, and killed, an elven maiden without any armour or robes on ... then not 10 seconds later met you, also unclad, walking up to the little house on the hill.

Do tell, what was in your bag? Presumably not your sense of humour, the bag was way too big :)

Jeez, I log in inside the tower, die within 5 seconds as 2 (visible) Albs are there and somehow I get written into a smutty little story and am now involved in this increasingly unpleasant sniping because I didn't find being portrayed as a cyber-tart very funny.
I find it sad that some people think I'm the one in the wrong for being peed-off that someone goes for a cheap laugh at my expense, rather than having a modicum of understanding that it's not a very amusing thing to be on the end of. You might not be too familiar with real girls but most of the decent ones don't find being portrayed as a tart very nice.
Clearly I'm a po-faced fuddy at odds with oh so modern, hip and liberal young things!
BTW, brush up your reading comprehesion. I was that 'unclad elven maiden' who logged into the tower, not the person you met afterwards.

Merrik, I didn't intend to insult you or portray you as some sort of tart, my apologies if you feel offended by my post. My post was made entirely in jest and not intended to be taken seriously. If anyone thinks that I was being serious about you, then all I can say to them is, I'M NOT.
It did look a bit suspicious when you logged on and then Melgar arrived wearing no armour and waving a loot bag at us only a few seconds later. Hence I jumped to the conclusion that you had been meeting Melgar for a duel or somesuch. As it turns out it was pure co-incidence.

Oh dear, someone forgot to take their happy pills today :)

No one said anything about cyber-sex, or anything else so unpleasant. It was merely a co-incidence, and made us all laugh at the time. I'm afraid all your posts, and the one since deleted, have done is highlight the story for more people to read.

And yes, sorry to confuse the two of you -- presumably your sense of humour was in the bag and, typical Middie, he was running off back to his relic keep with it. Hope it returns soon :)
