I was listening to the radio earlier, and according to the BBC, the military were beating up and arresting wholly peaceful buddhist monks.

I can only go by what's in the media. I don't know if protesting is illegal over there, but beating to a pulp peaceful monks sounds incredibly brutal.

But then again, its also bad what that animal, Robert Mugabe, has done and continues to do to the poor folk in Zimbabwe. Now he is someone who needs an exorcet missile up his arse. Not a lottery lout. Mugabe should be shot.

Same old story, America don't/didn't care because

a) Burma has Oil
b) It used to have quite a few pepsi plant (although they have been removed due to a widescale boycott)

The situation with Burma's quite complex, and both Russia and China have interests there. There was a whole piece about this on Radio 4 just about an hour ago.

Bush is the kinda guy who would throw his toys out the pram becuase the UK pulled its troops out of Iraq.
