While it's a crap argument football is no longer a sport, it's a business.

If you don't leap on the floor dramatically you'll never get any descisions of the ref's, since if you don't roll at least 3 times the player clearly didn't touch you.
If the ref's did their job and gave descisions when you didn't hurl yourself on the floor then people might not do it as much.

I do think it's slightly too easy to look at slo-mo's of people and go, oh look he dived. If your running at full speed and trying to change direction to get to a ball then it doesn't take too much to knock you over. In most cases it's not the players that just fall over, because often the fall is justified. It's the getting up and yelling for a descision when it clearly wasn't, or rolling 17 times and looking injured until the whistle goes that gets me. If you fall over, get up and try and play on then that's not a problem, because that's going to happen.

If your going to do something about it through replays, call bullshit on the idiots that then try and appeal, not just those that end up off balance and fall over.
