The results of the big Italian match fixing scandals are finally in and each have gotten different punishments if anyone cares.

A.C. Milan have been the luckiest. They stay in Serie 'A', but at the start of next season have a 15 point deduction.

Fiorentina have been relegated in to Serie 'B'

Lazio have been relegated in to Serie 'B' and will be deducted 6 points and so will Fiorentina

Juventus have been stripped of the 2005 and 2006 titles, been relegated to Serie 'B' and will start the next season with a whopping 30 point deduction.

BBC Website and Skysports have this up.

While as a Chelsea fan im chuffed to bits Shevchenko signed for us, it does raise eyebrows as to why this year was so different to joining Chelsea than last, when he pledged his allegiance to AC.

My guess is he wanted out while he still could :p

Good to see Juve owned hard though :D

Its a shame that one of the biggest teams in the world, with one of the best history, best players and millions of fans punished like that - I'm not sure they will even stay in serie B with a 30 point reduction.

Shame really

The problem is, the fans and players of Juve have done nothing wrong and its them that are being punished. It was the juve board, it is them that should of been punished, not the club as a whole

That is why the players can leave and go to another club without a fine. The fans should still support the club no matter what league they in, that is how the lower division teams have supporters still. If they only support the team because they are a successful team then it is no loss if they stop supporting.

The club is the one being punished mainly, less revenue, bans from competitions, bans for executives etc etc. And it could easily have gone further in many countries, including possible jail sentences for what they done.

Be interesting to see if the appeal gives any leeway to them, be funny if they turn round and say "oh your right, it is like being in Seria C.. lets just stick you in it" :p

But yeah lets hope Buffon ect have relegation clauses as there could be some very good free players :) With all of the money that top flight football brings in seeing as these clubs will be missing that some may never make it back to past glory.

Dose it upset you that you team payed a fortune for a player that might be free next week ;)

From what i read there are 126 individuals facing jail time for sport fixing so the club punishment is stage 1 i think

Relegation clause does not = free transfer.

All it will state is "if the club gets relagated then this clause will be activated. You will then be available to seek transfer to another club for a fee of above XXX."

So basically, a 20million player be free to look for another club (no tapping up allegations etc) and if a offer above the amount of say 12million is made it has to be accepted

Fair enough i though it would just be a relegation release clause but you way makes more sence for the club
