you'd be surprised, to be honest, does it sound like your hd spins in your pc? no, so you cant exactly hear it, or feel it, and they can be very tiny :D

go to a store, and ask if you can hold a iPod nano, then see what I mean

not a fan of paying for brands, but i got the smallest ipod (never remember name) and i've been nothing but a happy customer.

very simple to use (even i can manage), small size and the clip makes it awesome anywhere... journeys, jogging, gym is where i use it the most. also, no batteries to be changed etc.

only thing i hate is transferring music there, it could be more simple (just copy files, using windows explorer or cp command?)... itunes is insanely slow piece of crap imo and dont like the winamp transfer interface too much either.

BUMP,

I'm thinking about buying an MP3 Player too, need one for bike riding. If I get an Ipod does it need me to convert all my mp3 files to some apple file still? Does the creative zen need to convert to something too?

Both will play mp3's.

I was gonna buy a new MP3 player myself but also needed a new phone. Settled on the Nokia N95 8Gb, great phone. I keep about 2Gb for music 3Gb for movies and rest maps for the GPS. Comes with a nice 5Mb camera as well. Nice to have it all in one small unit.

GPS might come in handy on the bike as well.

been looking at a creative vision lately, it is thicker than an ipod so will have to have a look at its size and weight myself rather than behind a glass panel

But side by side in the store the creative had a noticably better picture and being able to use a standard USB cable rather than the IPOD dongle

Zen Visions also support podcasts btw

good review

I imported one of the new 80gb Zunes

They look pretty cool, much bigger screen then an ipod classic, wireless syncing through your router, much better sound quality then an ipod and plays hd audio, decent software and comes with very good headphones.

I did get my wife a Sony 818 not long back and thats a very nice player, good sound reproduction and a decent screen.

hehe i thought it was too big personally,
its a PDA more than a phone tbh. Awesome bit of kit though

Not that big but at close to 2cm thick it is a bit chunky. Still I usually use one of those 'old git' belt pouches so not a problem in the pockets. Of course well hidden behind the suit jacket.

I personally hate my N95, the buttons are in silly places and the software is a joke. Come very close to drop kicking it across the office several times.

Each to their own, I hate my Blackberry and have thrown in the bin several times. Last two phones I had were Motorola's but I hated the software on those. Was time to try something different. I quite like the Media selection software and the selection of apps is no different from any other phone I've tried. The GPS software needs some improvement and the maps are way too big for download over mobile network.

I used to have a Blackberry from work. Absolutely loved it. Instant internet instant email wherever and whenever. Had to give it back when I left the company

I got a ipod classic and I'm really impressed with it. It's really quick and I've been able to back-up alot of data onto it also, so it doubles up as a harddrive for me. My only gripe with it to be honest is the fact you need to now buy Apple only branded cables etc if you want to run it through your TV for videos etc, apart from that I have to say the Ipod is worth every penny I paid for it. I've owned Creative products in the past and I prefer the Ipod indefinately.
