Thinking about it, that's true. I was stupidly bored on that level, having had a relatively plausible story line to that point, it seemed silly to chuck in a big, weird planet of the paranormal for good measure, imo.

Kickin Alien Butt, blowing up towers. ACE :) :) :)

It was on my AMIGA, not sure about other formats.

They also realeased a game based on it in 3d. Think it was called Alien Breed 3d. At the time it absolutly OWNED!

That says more about you being retarded than it being a good game.

Shenmue is no way even a 'classic'. It's good for about three days, the three days it takes to complete it :/

Shenmue is fucking great. It will be seen as a landmark game in the future (because simply it IS), and it's so involving and deep. Also, if it took you 3 days to complete - you're a retard and missed the best bits of the game. Evidently you just played through the main plot line, rather than all the mini games, and checking everything out.

Elite..

Narr,

Frontier: first encounters is by far the better, and one of the best games ever created, along with multiplayer quake 2.

Anything else cool are the 2 player amiga classics, Swos Speedball 2, kickoff ect....

The amiga was truely the home of the first great 2 player games.

My experience streches back to a very fuzzy time I can only just remember in 1979 on my m8's Atari games console playing that crappy tennis thing.

Fave games:

Speccy:
Mr Do
Manic Miner
Horace goes Skiing (fuck off)
Spyhunter
Robocop (was number 1 in ZX charts for like 3 years or something)

Amiga:
Speedball 1 & 2
Shadow of the Beast 2
Simcity
Dune
Alien Breed

PSX:
Final Fantasy 7 & 8 (I prefer 8, hmmm controversial)

PC:
Half Life
Counterstrike
Aliens vs Predator (shit myself and also first game I ever played online)
Shogun - Total War + Mongol Invasion
Baldurs Gate 2 (I have just started it and its fab)
Quake 2 (first game that I saw using 3dfx)

There are others but I cant remember them.

Super metroid was fucking leet too :D

Tbh, nothing for a really long time has totally gripped me. I think the last game I spent absolutely every waking moment on was Final Fantasy 7, and that was years ago now...
