The transfer fee and player contract were both signed pending a medical before the deadline. Its not the first time the medical was allowed to take place later and for teams who can't afford private jets I bet it happens all the time.

Everybody is strengthening, apart from Lollerlol. We have Vertonghen and Paulinho (and probably Sandro) back in training now (they all played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against West Ham a few days ago) and the word is that Sherwood feels that Lamela is over his injury and will be playing more (or, at all). I still feel like we need a left-back and a striker though.
