they won 4-1 you moaning bastards. against a team that turned up with no intention of trying to win. montenegro only bothered pushing forward when they were 2 down, got a lucky goal from a deflection and then conceded 2 more.

townsend looked a much better option out wide than walcott, he actually seemed to know where he was running to which was a refreshing change!

I'm not bemoaning the result (even though 1 was an OG and 1 a pen) its the way England play and have played for years... badly and not because the players are as bad as they play but they just don't step up for England. The same faces chosen, despite form...Hart in goal!

A game like that would have been the perfect place to test some new faces in a competitive game. It's nice to see Townsend getting a game but other than that it was the same old players doing the same old thing.

Edit, we have zero chance of winning anything with the current squad. When you try something with the same method and it fails over and over then you should try something different.

It was a very, very weird game that one. Both teams with weakened squads, Sweden 2 - 0, ending up 3 - 5. A BEAUTIFUL one touch volley by Hysén.

It's been 16 goals in the two last games between Sweden and Germany. Fucking mental.

Come on, tonight was about getting a result and we did it. We actually played some great football in the first half.

Townsend looked good again. Obviously he learnt everything he knows from his loan spell at Orient.

ONly in the second half when we started to panic a bit when Poland started playing well. First half we were magnificent. Not sure what was wrong with Sutrridge though, thought he looked a bit off the pace tonight. If he had been on it the game would have been over in the first half.
