Performance was way below par, but it was a good result in the end. Too many misplaced passes and a serious lack of quality from our better players let us down on the night.

It's one of the tougher groups.

hahaha so clueless.... Who would you have played? Other than Defoe there is no fit English striker avaliable that is in any sort of form or has any international experience. Crouch maybe..... but at the moment Lambert is a better option than Crouch. As for Barkley, he looked really good the other day so why not give him a chance? You're just bitter because all these players are being picked over Gabby. That's cos he never lived up to his potential and has a woeful record for a striker. Maybe he'd do better at another club with better service but why should he get called up over someone else who is already doing it for a 'lesser' club?

Personally I wouldn't have played Milner as he's too defensive but away to ukraine, with the other options being young inexperienced wingers, he was probably the best shout. I do agree Cleverly is an overrated shire that should be nowhere near the England set up though.

Everybody was shit. It pains me to say it but the best performance was probably Cahill.

Walcott and Wilshere were especially bad. Lampard and Gerrard were meh, Walker was bad (he did some good work in the second half though), Hart looked terrible at the start but made some decent clearances. Young didn't really accomplish anything. Desperately need some fresh blood in that team.

If Ukraine had been on their game, we would've been raped.

After calling Wilshere, Lampard and Gerrard world class after watching the game tonight it is a little rich calling me that.

Gabby normally plays either on the left or right wing, cutting in to support a lone striker. He has a better scoring record than both Milner and Walcott, despite playing in a significantly worse team. Yet both players were preferred to him, and Milner has only been a substitute in two games for Man City. Meanwhile Rahim Sterling was called up to the squad. Anyway you dress it up Woy is useless.
