They have not sold him yes until it is on Arsenal.com I still think it is bollocks.
You're the only person I've seen anywhere saying it's a loan deal. You're about to spend over €50m on this guy.

I think he means league? Torres smashed europe last season but still didn't do much in the league in comparison

Southampton missed out on 25m for Bale because they sold their sell on fee for 3m when skint a few years back, ouch.

We sold it for 2m and the clause was 12.5% so ~10m, so we lost around 8m on it. To be honest, we needed the 2m more then than we need 10m now. I think we're getting another 2m for youth training stuff so the net loss stands at around 6m.

Sounds like we are getting Ba on loan too. Whats going on with him. Is he another player Jose does not like or dose this mean Rooney could be headed to the Bridge?

Isn't he injured a lot? Or just not as good as people thought he was?

He is as good, for sure, but he suffers from a chronic lack of fitness. He rarely plays 90 minutes. Not sure how well that will translate to Arsenal, where players go to get injured.

If the pressure's on Spurs to produce then the gooners have just heaped a shitload more pressure on themselves to do better than 4th. And they still need to address their depth issues. It's an awesome signing but they're still a couple of injuries away from being up the creek.

Its a big name signing in the wrong area imo. One of my best mates in a gooner and is fucking gutted, he wanted a striker, cb and dm. Arsenal already have an abundance of attack minded midfielders

Actually watch Ozil play / check his stats from the last 4 seasons, it's pretty silly

Arsenal are getting him for a steal, he's a ridiculous player. You don't have an AM that can provide the striker quite like he could, put Giroud in your fantasy teams people!

While I don't disagree with your mate in terms of what Arsenal really need, Ozil is at least a significant upgrade on what Arsenal have in that area.

Not doubting his quality, this transfer window has skewed player values a ridiculous amount though.

Is he twice the player Cabaye is?
Maybe. Problem with Cabaye is he's stupidly inconsistent, I don't think he's worth the £25m we're after apparently either mind, that's just Ashley's way of doing things.

Assuming Mr Bale started earning at midday today, he's already earned £10k.

Problem is we have decent players there already. Santi and Jack are both playing for the number 10 behind the striker attacking role. And both are quality. Where for DM we only really have Flamini or we play Arteta, Ramsey ect out of position, so while he is a great player and is 100% a sign of intent the money could be better spent on a quality holding midfielder some Defensive backup and a Winger. Although this now means Santi will move to the wing I think.

Ozil is probably getting paid twice as much as the next highest paid Arsenal player. Apparently it was his wages that put United off, although the way things are going I'm standing by my earlier post; United don't want to sign anybody.

You cannot keep playing Wilshire all the time, he's still young and you'll ruin his legs before he's 26/27 if you go back to Arsenal of old creating lots of chances you'll hurt teams in the PL.
