Point is, footballer salaries are stupid anyway. If Chelsea are willing to spend that sort of money for less than 10 goals a season then 300k a week isn't so bad for 25 a season.

Who knows with RM. I've seen all sorts of bullshit rumours since hte match. RM are going to try for Suarez again. Spurs are getting Benzema on loan (and maybe signing Draxler). Ozil to Arsenal. Sadly the last one looks like it might just happen though.

I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty crazy deadline day, though. Bale going has probably started up a whole chain of transfers.

Fingers crossed it is just broken bones, they heal and don't tend to have much impact just look at Valencia he was only out for about two months? If there is no ligament damage he could be back fairly fast with no long term harm done.

Not sure why all the targeted midfielders are attacking, a defensive midfielder is still my priority. An experienced CB who does not mind being a bench warmer. A winger as cover for the Ox then a Striker then another attacking Central midfielder. With Santi, Ramsey and Jack. Ozil is not needed.

I just watched the 90 minutes and I would say the amount of new players did them no favors. They let Arsenal control things and despite having decent possession I would say the Arsenal chances were more clear cut and we deserved the win. It also appeared to me that the whole derby atmosphere meant more to our players than Spuds. Spuds have some great players there but if they are going to challenge for the league like the owner wants they will need to gel quickly.

Kaka has joined Millan and is taking a £5m a year pay cut to go. So there are some footballers who prefer playing football to getting paid, good on him.

Liverpool have signed Ilori too. Never heard of him though.

edit - turns out he's not. his bio information was out of date, he currently plays for Abercarn United in The Wales. He was presumably clinging onto the fact that he was in the CFC youth system.
