You won the league last year, we scrapped 4th and the competition has improved. We are an injury or two away from a very very bad season. Unless of course we lose to spuds then buy 5 or 6 players on Monday.

It's not enough to sit on your laurels though, we may have won the league, but you need to improve constantly to do it again.

I dont think Wenger works like that - he probably has half a dozen or less targets and of those you might get 1 or 2.

He's said hes not going to panic buy so these will only be his long term targets.

Man U like most the top teams will see an interesting year, it is all going to depend on how well the players/managers in those teams gel together although admittedly not buying any one really doesn't exactly help.

I would if I was him. Keep the wage as long as possible. You forget these are people not just for the betterment of a team

I think losing to Spurs might be for the best actually, like you say he will have to go out and buy, the fans will riot.

I think the NLD is still a 50:50 game - it has such an atmosphere that its guaranteed to galvanise both teams and Arsenal still have a decent first team and Wenger is a great man manager.

Where Arsenal are going to slip will be over the long grind of the season and competing in multiple competitions.
