Looks like Arsenal are holding onto Bendtner after all. :D
With a court case coming up and the fact he wants a CL team and £80k a week we will either have to pay him off or let him sit out his contract. I personally would send the fucker out on loan again even if we have to pay just to remove the bad influence from our team.

Wenger on Bendtner: "The chance for him to leave now is very small. If he comes back well and gets fit, I will use him."

Eriksen will be official Spurs player and will be announced later today, most likely

Along with Lamela. :)

I get the feeling Levy is holding onto that announcement for as long as possible though because of the Bale thing. They're working on Coentrao and another striker now, apparently.

Spuds with the amount of money spent must be the favorites for the weekend?

I would feel happier if we had signed the likes of Lamela and Eriksen last week and had a bit of time to train with them. If the paperwork was submitted before midday todan then they are eligible to play but I don't imagine we'll see more than Lamela on the bench. I'm *so* up for this derby.

I still think we need a few weeks for everybody to get to know each other etc but there's been nothing wrong with Paulinho/Capoue/Chadli so far. Sandro was an animal last night, good to see him playing the full 90 but will probably start on the bench.

I'm not convinced we're going to win it but it's going to be a hell of a game.

Also; Mata and Torres not even in Spain's squad for their qualifier... Good luck with Brazil, Willian.

Also, lols we've got Anzhi in our Europa League group. That's as far as we'd like to travel kthx.

I'm now convinced that a. either Ed Woodward is the world's most inept negotiator, or b. the Glazers don't actually want to really buy anyone.

Look at the evidence; the "joint" bid for Baines and Fellaini. Everton don't want to lose Baines, and excellent player that he is, United don't really need him. So United do a joint bid because either Woodward is either an idiot (there's zero logical reason for a joint bid; it doesn't save any any time or paperwork), or, Baines is in the mix to make sure Everton don't do anything risky like agreeing to let Fellaini go.

Then there's the rejected bid for Herrera; he has a release clause, its two days before the window closes, so United bid 6m under it. What's the point? Bilbao hold all the cards, so if you want him you're only going to have to get to the release clause anyway. Its like he was taught at the Life of Brian school of haggling.

Add in the whole Fabregas and Alcantara mess and frankly United look like they couldn't negotiate out of a paper bag. I think I'm beginning to prefer Fergie's "no value in the market" lie. It least it only made United look like liars rather than morons.

Group K:
Tottenham Hotspur (ENG)
FC Anji Makhachkala (RUS)
FC Sheriff (MDA)
Tromsø IL (NOR)

Oh, it could've been worse from a travelling pov - Anzhi are expected to play their home matches in Moscow.

Surely they'll need to bid around the 50m mark to get the pair from Everton?

And the deal was done before midday so he's eligible for the NLD (I actually think the deadline is 5pm today).

Would love Madrid to pull out now and fuck spurs over

Spurs are holding out on the Bale deal so the Gooners can't sign a trio before the weekend if you believe Sky Sports :) lol

Yeah that has come up a few times. We have deals in place but they can not trigger till Bale goes so Spuds want to hold off on Bale till the last possible second. RM will not sell early to us in case Spuds then keep Bale. It is a dirty (but smart) trick if true and not something I would put past spuds.

Does anyone actually think Bale is worth that much?

Anything in life is worth what people are prepared to pay for it... would a 6cents comic book be worth $10,000...

Yes because comic nerds want them!

I don't think that's true tbh - I think the Willian charade delayed the transfer or it would have been completed a while ago.

There was also some haggling over payment and the terms - RM wanted a phased payment plan over years - Spurs wanted it up front.

Any team would love a midfielder who scores 20+ goals a season at 23, not sure on 85 but if that's what they want to pay...

RM think he's worth that and that's all I care about. :)

Apparently we're insisting that they either put the value down and throw Coentrao in or put Coentrao's value down in a separate deal.

Also, Bendtner is now talking to Palace apparently. Maybe you guys could do a swap for Chamakh? He would literally be like a new signing!
