Looks pretty much the same as what I think. I'd have Norwich higher though and West Ham lower.

It's official Gervinho is gone.

He joins Arshavin, Squillaci, Denilson and Santos. That is probably £250k a week of wages freed up right there. Now for part two of the plan Wenger :)

Part 2: Pretend to sign players by making bids that'll never come off so you can avoid the blame when the season goes tits up :p

Your Mum goes tits up! But you are probably right.

I don't want Suarez I wanted Fellani another decent center back and then some decent squad players. Suarez would help but we have other priorities imo.

Having enough players to start a game would be a good start!

Arsenal have had plenty of money for some time, we often hear the supporters telling us how they make a profit etc so I don't see how more savings in wages makes it any more likely you'll finally buy some top players.

Have they finished paying for the Emirates yet? Serious question, I don't have a clue.

We have loads of players! The ones in bold are out injured which means we only have one center back with a week left before the season starts but I am not worried. And the players that have left are not making the difference. I have the feeling that several Reserves will be moved to the first team squad.

Wojciech Szczesny
Lukasz Fabianski
Bacary Sagna
Per Mertesacker
Thomas Vermaelen
Laurent Koscielny
Nacho Monreal
Carl Jenkinson
Kieran Gibbs
Tomas Rosicky
Mikel Arteta
Jack Wilshere
Aaron Ramsey
Santi Cazorla
Abou Diaby
Emmanuel Frimpong
Ryo Miyaichi
Lukas Podolski
Olivier Giroud
Theo Walcott
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Yaya Sanogo
These too but I hope not for long.
Marouane Chamakh

Nope but we can not pay any more off. All the other development costs are gone and there is only something like £125m ish left to pay. When you think that is down from nearly £600m it is impressive.

Why would Fellaini goto Arsenal when Moyes wants him at Utd?
Wanted was the important part there. As I said yesterday our chance to get him has gone. But he was very interested in a move to Arsenal seemingly. Now Utd want him I think not so much.

Yeah we do make excellent profit and the club love saying Wenger has what ever he wants to spend but our debts just keep dropping. I have no idea if that is Wenger or the club but someone has put paying off the debts higher in our list of priorities than challenging for the league.

Jaysus, these are not the words of a supposed title-contending club.

And Chamakh has gone to Palace hasn't he?
Not officially yet.

And we are not a title challenging club. We have not been since Abramobitch showed up.

I hope i'm wrong but imo Arsenal are fucked if they don't make some good signings, they'll be battling it out with the scousers.

Shit, you'd better tell Walcott before he says something stupi.... oh.

Lets not be silly he has to say stuff like that. Coming out and saying "This season we hope to stay injury free to reach a cup semi final or two and to lock down forth before the last week of the season" shows a real lack of ambition... :(

It's funny how Arsenal will happily sell to rivals even though their financial position is stronger than Liverpool. Good on the owners tbh.

It's going to be bloody awkward if he stays. Surely Liverpool fans want him out now?

I am not sure how happily we have sold any of the players. RVP did exactly what Suarez has done but went one step further and attacked the manager. He made his position at the club untenable and only had one year left. He was never going to sign a new deal so selling was our only option and only one club made a bid. Nasri was exactly the same except he got offered his new contract before we had even spoken with City so we had to match £150k a week or sell him to the only club who made an offer.

It will be interesting with Suarez he is mean to be on £110k a week witch is about £5.7m a season so as much as the owner likes puffing his chest out I just don't see them sticking him in the reserves, if he keeps slagging the club off they will have to do something. If they fine him and make him stay then good on them but I would not expect a lot from the guy except maybe biting a ref and getting banned for the season.

So Spurs played a behind-closed-doors game against Enfield Town - we won 11-0 with hat-tricks from Soldado and Sigurdson.

One of their players tweeted "Soldado scored a hat trick but at the end of the day I megged him. #closeyalegs #taxiforsoldado". :D

Some probably do. I still think we're a stronger team with him in it. I'm not all dewey-eyed about the club and don't for a second think players have anything like "loyalty" or anything as daft as that.

As long as he completes the season and we finish in the CL places he can go next summer if he still wants to as far as I'm concerned. Then we'll be able to attract the right signings.

I think it's the right stance from the club - but I still don't trust the Americans. I still think they're probably well disguised asset-strippers and we're in deep shit as long as they're there.

I think FSG is a much better option than Gillett and Hicks though. I don't know what I'm basing that on but at least there's only 1 John Henry and he can't fall out with himself.
